excercises

Is anyone practicing exercises for when they give birth?

Re: excercises

  • Like pelvic floor exercises?

  • Kegels and squats I've heard are good. I've been doing some of both along with my regular exercise routines. :) Ultimately I'm just trying to be as fit as my exhausted body will allow.
  • I do a few squats and stretches in the evening before bed.
  • I've been trying to get in cardio and some strengthening exercises... my energy level hasn't been cooperating though!  I'd like to try yoga, but I'm so uncoordinated! ;)
  • Check into prenatal yoga! They guide you through safe exercises and it seriously helps me relax that I get the best sleep afterwards! You don't have to be coordinated... if I can do it, anyone can!
  • Yes! I do 5 sets of kegels every day, 30-50 squats, and then 2 sets of 40 hip raises and pelvic rocks. I also do 2 1 hour prenatal yoga classes a week. I'm really hoping I can prepare as much as possible this last trimester, as I haven't been very good about working out earlier in pregnancy.

  • Yeah like kegels and squats. I want to try yoga but am not sure. When it gets warmer and no more snow I'll be attempting to go for walks. But being tired and no energy deff plays a big part in not doing anything.
  • I did not do anything with my first and have no plans with this one either. My first was quick, easy and natural. Everyone is different tho. Good luck ladies.

  • Yep, some squats and light cardio / light weights. Just trying to keep muscle mass throughout and then strengthen glutes / pelvic area.
