I'm not excellent at spelling out pronunciations so no one needs to point that out. I think I've picked my name but would like to see how it is interpreted because I wouldn't want it to be constantly mispronounced!! Aviana. Would you pronounce it Ay-viana or Ah-viana. Yes it is a real name and it has special meaning to me as I was born on the Aviano Air Force base in Italy! Thanks in advance.

How is Aviano pronounced?

I wouldn't name my child after a place I couldn't pronounce.

I think it can be pronounced either way. My niece's name is adrianna and we pronunce it ay-drianna but I've heard it ah-drianna before. Very pretty name.

That's what happens when you use a made up name. And yes it is in fact a modern made up name. And BTN only had is as user submitted but still sites as a made up name

This is also the girl's name we have chosen.....if our LO is a girl. We loved it and agreed on it long before we were even married lol. We will be pronouncing it AH-vi-AH-na....middle name Grace. Our only debate is I want it with one N and DH would prefer two.

in general Ana is "Ah-na" and Anna is " a (like apple)-na
