Ovulation App and Ovulation tests do not match

Hi:

 I am new to the bump and I have not posted (no I am not a troll!).

I am using a period tracking app on my iPhone and using the clear blue easy ovulation tests. This last month the ovulation test kit predicted my ovulation a few  days earlier than the app. This is our 3rd month of trying. Should I be concerned about these differences? Has anyone else had two different timeframes when using these two methods?

    My fertility app just says I'm ovulating 14 days before my expected period. I factor in an error of plus or minus 3 days since my cycle isn't the same length every month.
