We had an ultrasound at 16 weeks for medical reasons, thankfully everything is fine. The ultrasound tech told us it looked like a boy. I feel like that's very early though and that we should wait until our regular anatomy 20 week ultrasound and see what they say then before we start to plan for a boy. Just wondering if they're wrong often, especially that early?? Anyone been told what sex they were having and then that not have been correct?
Re: Ultrasound tech ever wrong about the sex?
However, my anatomy scan was at 17 weeks and the sex was able to be determined easily. This is not always the case for everyone.
If in doubt, wait for the anatomy scan before buying anything blue.
Or buy ahead, since it's just a colour.
Up to you personally on that last comment lol
But it has been known for even the anatomy scan to be incorrect and the parents are surprised at birth. But it's not overly common. Today's technology is pretty good.
I hope though that your scan shows that you have a healthy baby
