Cleaning up vomit tip?

Now that we have the tmi out of the way, any tips? J threw up in her bed, then our bed. It was close enough to dinner time that it was still chunky. When I dumped everything in the wash I was picking bits of food out of the washer (gross)!

Btw, it took three loads to get all the sheets, pjs, towels, mattress pads, etc.

Luckily, it seems to have been an isolated incident.

Ugh! So sorry for the mess for you and that J isn't feeling well. I usually wash out the "chunks" in the sink before throwing it in the wash.

Oh yuck! I would probably throw the whole thing in the wash and then just wipe out the washing machine with a paper towel. Lysol and bleach EVERYTHING! That helps since the stomach bug is so contagious.

I read on Pinterest that if you put ground up coffee on vomit it absorbs the moisture, reduces smell and then apparantly you can just sweep it up. Haven't tried it yet, but it sounds like it might be worth trying.

That totally makes sense! I bet you could also use clean cat litter. One of my clients is a cat litter company and they also make that stuff janitors use to clean up puke.

Yeah, I pretty much did this, but the chunks in the washer were super gross  :-&

Yuck!  Been there, we rinsed chunks out in the sink (small blankets) or tub for the larger ones.  Then into the wash.  Hang in there!
