So the girls turned 10 months a couple weeks ago and I had mastitis for the 4th time and I decided I was fed up and I just quit. I know, I know, everybody says don't quit on a bad day and blah blah blah but seriously, in the last 10 months I can't hardly remember very many GOOD days! Anyway, so the first couple days were of course miserable but then I got past the engorgement and pain and then it was getting better. But then Sunday I started randomly leaking all over the place and then yesterday all day at work I felt like I had a clogged duct. So I got home and thought I would try working it out and I found multiple clogged ducts in both breasts. And this is nearly 2 weeks after stopping. Sorry this is so long but has anyone else experienced this? I was so fed up with the discomfort all these months that I thought I was finally going to get some relief from quitting but it seems like it's still haunting me!! Agh! I don't really want to keep emptying out the ducts because they just fill up again!
Re: Stopping breastfeeding cold turkey
I felt engorged for a good two weeks after I stopped pumping; it finally got better when I was away from my LO for work. Not sure if that's an option but maybe take a day or two away from yours!

Sounds about right! I got a gift card to Victoria Secret for Christmas and my first thought was "these boobs don't deserve a $60 bra." It is Target or Kohls for these sorry suckers. I spent my gift card on panties and sweats. Lol.
