Had my anatomy scan today and found out I have an anterior placenta. For the ladies that have or had this when did you feel movement? Also how often? I haven't really felt baby yet and I'm so anxious to feel her.
I have this and only felt a "nudge" occasionally starting about 19-20 weeks. I'm a couple days shy of 24 weeks and feel him much stronger. DH has only felt him once, but every day it gets stronger.
I had one with my first and felt her around 17 weeks and could see her from the outside before 20. Do you know where exactly it is? Mine was anterior but along one side wrapping towards the front, so it wasn't covering the entire front of my uterus if that makes since.
Both my pregnancies have been anterior placenta and for both I started feeling movement around 17 weeks. It's definitely gotten much stronger as the days have passed (I'm 21 weeks+ with my second) and I'm starting to feel him more regularly on the outside and my husband has been able to feel him as well. Everyone is different though
@Lalala2326 I'm not sure where it is. I have to return in two weeks for another ultrasound so I will ask them! I really don't have a clue as to what the term "anterior placenta" means other than literally. I've just heard it tossed around about how these women don't feel as much movement.
DS is 15 months, so I don't remember weeks. At about six months pregnant, I couldn't really feel him move, but when he changed positions, I felt pressure when he was pressing against stuff. It was like that for maybe a month. I was at my cousin's wedding at 7 1/2 months and another cousin wanted to feel him move. I told her I rarely felt it. Even near the end, I didn't feel it that often. I would do kick tests, and always get 10 within a short period of time, but the weren't even that hard. The odd time starting maybe 8 1/2 months, I would feel him kick hard.
He moved lots on the USs. I just never really felt it. Mom would always ask if I felt him yet and I'd tell her no. She thought I was lying. I told her, if I was going to lie about something, I'd pick something better to lie about. I explained to her about my anterior placenta and the Dr said it was normal not to feel it. Then whenever anyone else would ask about movement or to feel, she would tell them about the placenta preventing me from.feeling.
I have this and I have felt movement for a couple weeks but only down low and in certain positions. I think I first started feeling things around 18/19 weeks but it was very light and sporadic. I usually feel her moving after a meal and I am sitting or laying down on my back.
I could feel movement around the sides of my belly around 17. Can't feel any movement from the outside yet but the nudges and squirming are getting a bit stronger. My friend though that also has an anterior placenta said she didn't feel her son until 24 weeks, so it's different for everyone.
I have the same and didn't start to really feel my LO move until about 18 weeks and even now (almost 20 weeks) it's very gentle movement but getting harder.

I have an anterior placenta and my Dr said the earliest flutters around 18wk-20wk I may miss out on, but to be grateful for the extra few weeks asleep. Once he/she gets bigger and taking up more room I should be able.to feel her by 24wks, but Dr said everyone is different even with an anterior placenta.
I have an AP and it wasn't until about 19 weeks that I felt anything. I'm a FTM and didn't realize what I was feeling until my AS when I saw him kick on the screen and felt it. I'm 22 weeks now and it is still pretty faint and sporadic. I didn't feel any flutters or butterfly's like most people describe. Mine feels like a twitch.
Mine is anterior. Started feeling baby around 18 weeks. Mostly feel movement really low or along the sides. I will feel big movements in the front up high but never too much around my navel. I figure I'm feeling things around the placenta. I'm 21 4/7 weeks
I felt little flutters at 20weeks but was still on the fence if it was really the baby. It was, as things got stronger at 21 weeks I was sure. I'm almost 26 weeks and I feel movement everyday but only a few times did I have kicks that could be felt on the outside
