I am 38 weeks 4 days and I have a history of HBP before pregnancy but not during and in the last few weeks my Dr. has advised I come in 2x a week for monitoring which includes a weekly NST and ultrasound to check fluid and growth due to my history. Anyone else been through this? She keeps saying everything looks good but it's kinda freaking me out.
Re: Anyone else weekly NST?
yup. 2 NSTs per week and 1 BPP per week. (two appts). I thought at first it would be fun but it has definitely gotten old. I've been doing this for about 4 weeks now. But this is my last week! I'm being induced next Wednesday!!
My frequent checks are due to the fact that I have polyhydramnios and fibroids. Unfortunately, my sweetie has "failed" the test twice and I had to go to the hospital for additional monitoring. Basically you go to labor and delivery and they do exactly the same thing as at the doctors office (hook you up to monitors and monitor babies heartrate accels and decels). It just goes for much longer, for me 2 hours each time. So yea. Now I always take a sugary carbonated caffeinated drink with me to get baby moving. It doesn't usually take much. for you little one juice may work :-)
