Discouraged/Vent Fest

well Tuesday before due date I had a doctors appointment and I was 3 cm and 80 percent effaced. She was likelhihy unlikely u will need another appointment but get one anyways. Needless to say we are now 3 days past due date with still no signs that baby wants to come out anytime soon. To top it off 4
People had there babies and one of them was 3 weeks early just the cherry on top of the cake. Plus I have tried everything so please don't had those suggestions.
This is a vent and if none else is in this boat and wants to vent join me

    Totally understand how you feel. Today is our EDD and I have had zero signs/symptoms that labor is anywhere near. I have an appt at the doctors today where they will check for dilation/effacement/ect. But I understand that those values are no way indicative of when labor will happen. Just have to trust our bodies and our babies and know that we will be holding them soon. (But it does suck. All my friends had their babies on or before their due dates and I was hoping to continue that trend!)

    Have you tried massaging your ankles? That's what my OB suggested, just a thought if you haven't tried it.

    I'm with you I'm only 38W3D but it has been a long hard pregnancy. I know my boy is over 8lbs due to last weeks growth scan. I am 3 cm, lost my plug, keep hearing how my cervix is soft, and have cramps with no regularity! I am going crazy just "waiting"!

    Just got home from the hospital with contractions 3-5 minutes apart. Dilated to 4 but since no dilation while at hospital they sent me home. That's more disappointing than not having contractions. Being told you are in labor but to go home.

    @cndupree15‌ that's kind of ridiculous they sent you home? I mean you are in labor right?! I mean what if you go home and dilate? How are you supposed to know when to come back?? Sorry just frustrated for you!!
    Btw at least no superstitious date right? Lol

    @Grapes13‌ the nurse told me that I was definitely having consistent contractions... 3-5 minutes apart. They checked me 2 times 3 hours apart and no changes. I agree it's craZy they sent me home when she looked me dead in my face and said it won't be long now. She was very nice and helpful but now I'm sitting here wondering if my cervix is dilating while I'm an hour away from the hospital. I have my last appointment tomorrow so hopefully some change? If not..... Looks like a Friday the 13th baby to me.

    @cndupree15‌ Well I hope you get some good news today!! No one wants contractions like that for an extended period of time- along with the worry!

    Just so you feel better, the same thing happened to my cousin recently and she was back the very same night delivering her little girl. She even got there so late that she couldn't get an epidural! If you feel the need to go back in a few hours, do it!

    @Erichandme‌ unfortunately I'm still pregnant. Still having contractions. They haven't gotten to the point where I can't talk through them which apparently is how they measure how painful they are. But I don't ever remember not being able to talk through a contraction.
    I have a doctor appointment tomorrow so hopefully I will get good news then

    I am with everyone on this. Been contracting hard for hours every day. Then they back off to every ten minutes and still pregnant. Doctor checked and I am only dilated to a two. So ready to meet this little man.

    @cndupree‌15 I seriously feel for you. I know you have been dilated for weeks, and now all this trick stuff! Hang in there. Looks like we both may be having Friday the 13th babies!

    @tlglass91‌ no Friday the 13th baby for me. I don't know if any of the truck stuff worked or she was finally just ready. My water broke at midnight last night and we had a baby at 8:59 am. Hang in there. I would have kept her in for 49 more weeks if would have realized how perfectly amazing she was going to be
