My husband starting sitting our little girl straight up against his legs- which works sometimes. I also have had a lot of success by playing her music box while sitting her up- I played it for her when I was pregnant and I think it "surprises" her and it stops them. I don't know if it actually it doing anything but it's worth a shot!
My son gets them almost daily. I tried waiting it out, but I know when I have hiccups, after a while they hurt! So we tried burping, rocking, vibration. Finally figured out that about 2 min of nursing works every time. If he gets them when I know he's got a full stomach, I keep the feeding short-just long enough to get rid of the hiccups. If he gets fussy about the feeding getting cut short, I give him a binky. Hope that helps!
