GD Check-In 2/11

Hi GD Moms, if you're still out there...

Sorry for missing our regular Tuesday check-in. If you're so inclined to say hello today, feel free!

1. How many weeks? (we're getting to the end!!)
2. Treatment/regimen?
3. Recent changes/updates?

Hope everyone is doing well in the final push!

Re: GD Check-In 2/11

  • 1. 37w5d
    2. 2.5 glyburide at night; 4x testing
    3. I've been going for 1x weekly NST and 1x weekly BPP -- all looking good. Slightly high, but not abnormal amniotic fluid index (AFI) of 16 (should be around 13, but it's under 25 which seems to be the "danger zone"). Baby is moving and active, but also head down, facing back, ready to go. Don't have to go in to the diabetes clinic this week, but will again next week. They will (hopefully) continue my clearance for a non-intervention birth plan and allow me to go past the due date if baby hasn't come by Feb 27. Still, I find things to stress about, like my slightly elevated post-dinner meal last night (I know why it was high, not a big deal), and a number after breakfast that was a little higher than normal for me, but totally within range, and my slightly high AFI... apparently I like to worry. But generally feeling good - yoga twice a week, gym twice a week, sleeping decently well for this stage of things. And, I'm getting excited for labor and delivery.

Sending congratulations to all of the GD moms who now have little ones, and best wishes to those of you still waiting for baby to arrive! I've been doing some reflecting recently and I think we're all superstars to be dealing with this. I know it's not nearly what some moms-to-be have to put up with (and I can only imagine!), but it's still been added stress and impositions on life that aren't always easy. So pat yourselves on the backs, ladies! We're almost there!
