Gender reveal at 14 weeks?

My boyfriend and I were told by our doctor that we can find out the sex of our baby at 5 months. But my dr also gave me a pamphlet for a 3D ultra sound and our appt for that is this Saturday and I will then be 14 weeks and 6 days. The 3D clinic says they will be able to tell by the sex by14 weeks. And all the reviews I've read about this place are great ! Does anyone know how accurate this can be ?

I found out last time at 14.2 weeks. Via an ER visit. She was 100% right!

We have had most of our friends with babies do this, and it has been 100% accurate at 14 weeks! We are doing at 15 weeks, and then having a gender reveal BBQ that afternoon (hopefully baby is in the right position, if not, it will just be a "yay it's a baby BBQ")

Ehh I would save your money. There is no guarantee that they will be able to see the sex of the baby and 14 weeks is still very early

If it isn't a ton of money and you want to see the baby, go for it, but I would not go out and buy tons of gender specific clothing or paint the nursery or anything just yet.

I would ask them about their policies! A lot of those places will give you your money back if they are wrong or if schedule another appointment if say the baby is in a position where you cannot see!! I've had a bunch of friends do it and it has been accurate

Ok that eases my mind ! I already sent out invitations for a gender reveal party for a few weeks after we find out lol I'm just so excited ! Thank you for the responses.

Caution on having sent out invitations already. There is no guarantee baby is going to cooperate. Even if the tech could usually tell, if your baby wants to sit with their legs crossed there isn't anything anyone is gonna be able to do about it.

Meh, we did it with my son and it was spot on. We are doing it this time as well.Do these places make mistakes? Yep. It's a chance you take (if they are wrong or baby isn't cooperating my location will give you a free package).
