cholestasis during pregnancy. Has anyone had this and what was the outcome?

I'm about to go crazy over how much my whole body itches. I'm 35 weeks today and suffering really bad and was told only a warm bath would help.

That can make it worse! Did your doctor diagnose you with this by blood test? I had horribly severe itching of hands and feet to the point I wanted to tear my skin off. I however was pregnant with twins and developed it at 32 weeks, was put on hospital bed rest at 34 weeks and they came about 3 days after that. If you truly have cholestasis I hope that they are monitoring you very closely as it can be deady to the fetus! Once in the hospital I was given a medication called actigal which helped tremendously with the itching. All my symptoms disappeared immediately after giving birth

I have been tested by blood work for it. I have to call my doctor tomorrow for the results. I hope this isn't what it is. But I have intense itching, worse at night it seems. And warm showers/baths seem to make it alot worse. Hope you can find some relief.

I've been having some really bad itching for the past month or so. I never thought to ask my OB about it until my cousin brought up the possibility of Cholestasis to me. I'm going to talk about it with my dr at my next appointment.
