Sex before IUI

Hi ladies - I'm hoping you can give me some advice. I have my first IUI scheduled for tomorrow morning. We triggered last night, had sex, and this morning I had a positive OPK. We're not dealing with MFI, but my RE told us not to have sex today in prep for our IUI. However, I'm really nervous that I may ovulate today and that the iui will be too late. Do you think it would be horrible to have sex today just to cover our bases? It would be about 24 hours before the IUI. Thanks and big ((hugs)) this Sunday morning :)

BFP 7/16/13, EDD 3/27/14 - blighted ovum  - D&C 8/26/13
Dx PCOS and Septate Uterus
Septum Resection - 2/6/14
brand new cuterus
March 2014:   first medicated cycle + iui = BFP!

    I wouldn't have sex today.  I'm doing my first IUI on Tuesday, and my RE told us to stop having sex on Sunday (today).  If you had sex last night, and you do IUI tomorrow, I'd say you are covered :)  I could be wrong, but I would just wait for the IUI.  FX!  :)

    Also, someone else can answer this part better, but one thought I had was that your trigger could have caused you to have a slightly skewed OPK result.  I know that hCG can cause OPKs to be positive even when you are not having an LH surge.  Just a  thought…
    Anyone else have thoughts on this possibility?

    Thanks ladies. Dr google said the trigger usually causes false positives on opk. So I'm thinking I will just listen to my RE and not have sex today.
