Just wondering... Do you go to all your prenatal appointments alone? Does your husband/baby's father go with you? Does your mom or a friend go with you?
What about if you have an ultrasound alone or with someone?
I went alone to my first two appointments, both ultrasounds. Fiance went to my last appointment where we just listened for the hearbeat. He couldn't dicipher between the whoosing and the heartbeat though, so I think he was disappointed, lol.
He will be going to the anatomy scan with me a week from today. He's looking forward to that.
My husband and/or my mom has gone with me to my anatomy scans. DH couldn't go to DD's scan so my mom came. Usually that's the only appt I have anyone with me. I'm usually alone. With this pregnancy, my OB is literally two minutes from my office. I just pop over and I'm usually in and out pretty quickly
My husband has only gone to the anatomy scan and genetic counselor. This is our fourth, so it is all just same old. If I wanted him to come he would, but I prefer he stays home with the other kids.
This is the first time for both MH and me. He's been to all the appointments but 3. Early on, I was quite anxious and needed the support, and the appointments helped him transition from being in denial to expecting a baby. I've been encouraging him not to come lately, especially when he has a lot on his plate work-wise even though he works from home. My OB's office is not easy to get to, and we end up spending a lot of time in traffic, parking, and just waiting. So now, I just let him know when it's important for him to come - like when discussing the birth plan etc.
This is mine and DH's first baby, so he comes with me to every appointment. He has always seemed to want to come, but if he didn't I would still ask him to come. Mostly because I want to get him in the mindset that this will impact us both, not just me. (Not that he's not already in that mindset, but you know what I mean). Also, since we are Team Green I think he gets a kick out of the monthly guessing game we play with the OB as to Ewok's sex. If it were not our first child I probably would just go by myself except for the big time appts (first, a/s, genetic test, etc), I'm pretty independent and don't mind being solo.
This is my 3rd so DH hasn't been to any. He didn't come to any for the 2nd either. I think he went to the anatomy scan for the 1st and a genetic counseling session...oh, and the birthing class. I never really asked him to go to anything else.

Mine comes with me to all my appointments. He works 3-24 hour shifts every 9 days and has the last 4 days of his 9 day rotation off so I schedule all my appointments for his days off. He likes it. Says it makes him feel more connected to my pg. I needed the support early on. I like having him there.
This is DH's first baby, he has been to every appt. We were able to get an US at the fist appt 8w3d to determine progression and he was beside himself because we had not anticipated having an US so soon.

First baby for both of us and my husband has only been to the anatomy scan. Aside from the first appointment with the OB all of the subsequent appointments were about 5-10 minutes long and not worth working around his work schedule. I'm fine with it.
DH went to all appointments with me up until we switched to weekly about a month and a half ago, since these are so frequent and brief, and we didn't have many questions. I told him it just really wasn't necessary. He's coming with me today though as we expect to have a conversation about scheduling induction.
DH came with me to all the regularly scheduled appts, not things like the Glucose testing ect.. and all the big scans like the NT and the anatomy. Later on he came to most of my stress tests as well. This time I might be more laid back once we clear the 1st trimester, but I'm sure he'll still want to come!

Mine insists on coming. It has really helped him transition from being totally freaked out at the beginning to now being quite into it and protective of the baby as well as me. I really wasn't sure he'd come around so well but am glad he has.
So far he has been to all of them. As they get more frequent I'm sure he won't be quite able to make them but anyone that involved questions on tests, ultrasounds etc he has definitely been at.
Re: Do you go alone to prenatal appts?
Baby #1 - DH went to everything
Baby #2 - He went to the 20-week U/S appointment only
