First IVF - Just got my beta HCG it's very low

Hi we just did our first IVF. We transferred 4 really nice 3 day embryos (I'm 42). I'm 13dp3dt today and the beta HCG came back at 11.7.  I have to go back on Thursday 2/5 to see what the number is. The nurse said it could be a late implantation and to stay on the Progesterone shots. I'm feeling really deflated and frustrated and sad. Anyone have a similar situation happen to them?

    One number doesn't tell you much. Your number should double after 48-72 hours. I'm not sure how long after IVF they do a test, but for my IUI I had to wait two weeks before they did a blood test.

    I've also read that the initial number doesn't matter that much, but what does matter is the rise in the numbers after 48-72 hours.

    We did iui and my doc told me 5 pr greater= pregnant. As the other said, it is more important that the number doubles every 48-72 hrs.
