Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment:
Due to my work schedule we won't have our 20 week ultrasound until Feb 19th (20 weeks, 6 days)

    How are you feeling (rants/raves)?
I've felt a few flutter's on occasion but I'm anxious to be able to feel our LO moving around on a regular basis! My reflux has improved over all, but still makes an appearance several times a day! My stomach has majorly popped, which is exciting!!

QOTW: I remember as a child making big plans about what my occupations would be, about marriage, and about family. What were your thoughts/dreams from your childhood and do they compare at all with where your at or headed?
I always new I wanted to be a Nanny! I was born and raised in a really small town and saw being a professional nanny as an opportunity to take a big city by storm. I didn't think I'd ever get married. With my dreams of being a high profile celebrity nanny I didn't see having a Husband as an option. I work with professionals, but not celebrities; I make a awesome salary and I get to be married to an amazing Man so I got the better deal in the end. Since I hadn't planned on getting married I always thought I wouldn't have children of my own, but would always get to help Parents raise theres. Now we are hoping for two to three little ones to fill out home!

Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment: I had an appointment Tuesday - I had some blood drawn and got to listen to the baby's heartbeat - 149!

How are you feeling (rants/raves)? I'm okay - my back is still bothering me and the numbness continues in my left quad.

QOTW: I remember as a child making big plans about what my occupations would be, about marriage, and about family. What were your thoughts/dreams from your childhood and do they compare at all with where your at or headed?

I always thought I wanted to be a teacher, get married early and have a lot of kids.  I ended up being an accountant and focusing on my career in order to get ahead.  I got married 3 years ago and am excited to have our first baby.  I always thought I would be a stay at home mom, but now DH is going to stay home while I continue working.

Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment:
I have a thyroid Dr appt on Monday
waiting til Feb 24 for anatomy scan :)

    How are you feeling (rants/raves)?
Pretty good. Back pain but every 2 to 3 weeks I see either a chiropractor or a massage therapist so hopefully it'll keep in check.
    Definitely having round ligament pain.
Sometimes I can feel where the baby is, like when I bend over I can sense the spot where it's resting, but I haven't felt movements yet

QOTW: I remember as a child making big plans about what my occupations would be, about marriage, and about family. What were your thoughts/dreams from your childhood and do they compare at all with where your at or headed?

I wanted to be a teacher since I was in kindergarten. I went to school for early childhood first, since when I graduated high school my province had just laid off 400 teachers. By the time I was finished my early childhood degree (2yrs) I decided to go on to finish my B.Ed. I ended up teaching kindergarten in NYC (Harlem)for a couple years. Then I met my hubby and moved to upstate NY. There were no teaching jobs when I first got my green card so I've been working in daycare.
After baby is born I'll be a SAHM, but I may also watch other people's kids as well, which is what I always wanted to be able to do.

    Week/fruit: 17/Onion

    Team: (blue/pink/staying green) - won't know until February 23rd

Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment: Had an appointment last Friday - all was well, but we discovered an anterior placenta so that explains not feeling movement, and I still have a SCH. :(

How are you feeling (rants/raves)? Feeling fine most of the time, other than that I have my second UTI in 2 weeks, and I've been having some serious aching along each side of my belly the past two days.

QOTW: I remember as a child making big plans about what my occupations would be, about marriage, and about family. What were your thoughts/dreams from your childhood and do they compare at all with where your at or headed? - not at all. I wanted to be a farmer and have lots of horses. I have/am neither :)

    Team: will find out

Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment: i had to change our next appointment because of Jury Duty. I am hoping we wrap up before the changed appointment date!

How are you feeling (rants/raves)? Feeling great! I love feeling the baby move!

QOTW: I thought I would have already had a few children by now, but I guess I have to start somewhere! I am so blessed and happy with where I am in life, great husband, I love my job, and have a wonderful community of friends and family. I think whatever I thought as a child doesn't compare to where I am today, and I am so grateful for it!
  • Week/fruit: 19..mango!

Team: (blue/pink/staying green) Hopefully finding out Thursday at our a/s. so so nervous for a good scan..thursday cannot come soon enough.

Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment: Thursday. Next Miidwife appt on the 18th.

How are you feeling (rants/raves)? Feeling good. Almost fully over my cold, and I think I may have felt a flutter last night.. really not sure, so I'm not getting too excited over what may have been gas bubbles ;)

QOTW: I remember as a child making big plans about what my occupations would be, about marriage, and about family. What were your thoughts/dreams from your childhood and do they compare at all with where your at or headed?

I wanted to be a teacher. Always envisioned myself married with kids. I'm not a teacher, but still think it would be awesome to maybe teach at a junior college. I think my childhood goals are pretty much on point with the way my life is now :)

@denamaree I have a few friends that are/have been nannies. The stories they've shared are always so exciting, such as traveling the world, living in other countries, etc. Kudos to you for having so much patience with all the different kidos!
  • @snlinega  Any update on the blood work portion of your appointment. Woo Hoo for getting to hear that magical HB. Did you set your 20 week appointment? Have you tried a support belt to relieve some of the tension on your back? Mine has been a Godsend! I wholeheartedly admire that your DH is going to be a stay at home Dad. My Husband is so beyond excited for our LO but I can’t imagine him doing the all day every day thing!! So awesome!

@iteachkids81   Good luck with your thyroid appointment!! Hope Feb 24th comes quick for you…I can not wait for my anatomy scan!! Have you tried acupuncture for the back pain. I’ve had a few sessions now and it’s helped a ton!! As a Nanny with the opportunity to bring out LO with me to work I love the idea of getting to be with our Lo all day and in addition have a playmate for them on a regular basis. In our case I will have our Lo, a baby six weeks older then ours, and a two year old. It’s going to be super busy, but I’m excited our Lo will have socialization!!

@nessie6400 WELCOME!! Ugh..sorry to hear about the SCH and the UTI’s. As if being pregnant is taxing enough, to also have other ailments (even if they are related to the pregnancy) is rough. Sending you positive vibes that all clears up soon!!

@qtjo5  Jury duty is interesting, or not so much if it interfere’s with life!! Hope it wraps up in time as I’m sure your anxious for your anatomy scan!! I also so love feeling the baby’s movement, its so great!! I’m so glad your Lo is moving regularly to reassure you all is going so well!

  • Week/fruit: 17 weeks, onion!

Team: (blue/pink/staying green) 2 weeks until we find out!

Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment: I had an appointment on Wednesday. It was just a check up but we got to hear the little one's heart beat which is always fun! Only 2 weeks until our anatomy scan - I can't wait!!

    How are you feeling (rants/raves)?
I'm feeling great! Last week I said I was spilling the beans to my boss, but he ended up being out that day and I didn't get a chance all week. I am planning to tell today!

QOTW: I remember as a child making big plans about what my occupations would be, about marriage, and about family. What were your thoughts/dreams from your childhood and do they compare at all with where your at or headed?
I always wanted to be an actress when I was growing up. I am now an attorney (but not the go to court kind which could be kind of like acting), so not even close. As far as marriage and kids, I always imagined myself having a big family (I have 4 siblings). This is our first, so we'll see if that comes true!

  • @cwhiteh1  Woo Hoo for a strong HB. I hope the next two weeks go by quickly (for the both of us ;) ) Sorry you weren't able to get the news of your upcoming arrival revealed to your boss. I can only imagine your anxious for it to just be completed. Hope all goes well with it! Will look forward to your update!

    Team Pink

Had a regular check-in this past Monday, all was well... Will have the A/S on the 16th so that is exciting! I'm eager to make sure everything is good and just to double check that the baby really is a girl lol

Rants/Raves: I've had a fairly easy week, just soooo over all of the peeing lol ... But if that's all I have to complain about then I am blessed!

QOTW: I had all kinds of childhood thoughts/goals and I can't say that any of them are still true to this day with the one exception, I always thought I would have 3 children and here I am having #3 even though I truly thought I was done at 2 .. Life can certainly be interesting sometimes ;)

  • @indiejavamama3  Yey, so glad all went well with your regular appointment! Even knowing the sex, that ultrasound is so precious. Getting to count the ten fingers, ten toes, etc. Hopefully time goes quick for you!! I completely hear you with the constant running to the rest room! GRR! DH has started going to the bed in the guest room when I get up for the first or second run overnight as he knows there will inevitably be one or two more trips. I try catch a nap once or twice a week but during the day the trips to the restroom are more frequent so I never get more then a solid forty five minute catnap. Ha Ha..and everyone says to get as rested up before baby arrives as once they are here it only gets more busy and your more sleep deprived. Yeah right!!

Team: we had planned on finding out but we decided just this week to stay TEAM GREEN

Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment: anxiously awaiting my next appt feb 17th

How are you feeling (rants/raves)? Pretty good, really hungry, less tired and more energy!

QOTW: I remember as a child making big plans about what my occupations would be, about marriage, and about family. What were your thoughts/dreams from your childhood and do they compare at all with where your at or headed?

I never thought that I'd have been married at 20 and expecting baby #2 at 24 and a stay at home mommy. I had big plans to use my degree in phys ed and health to be a gym teacher and it still to this day is the only thing I could see myself doing other than being a mama. Not that I'll ever want to leave my kids and go back to work (at least until they're all in school). I never even considered being a stay at home mom but now that I am I wouldn't change a thing, best job ever!
  • @chelsea13elyse‌ Staying green is so much fun! I go back and forth on occasion with wishing I new if ours was a boy or girl, but just as quickly get excited about learning the sex of our baby in the delivery room! Hope Feb 17 comes quick for you!! Will look forward to your update! Being a stay at home Mom is such a rewarding opportunity, Yey for embracing it!!

  • Hi All - I'm new and am due on July 31st.

    Week/fruit: 15 weeks - Orange

Team: (blue/pink/staying green) - Staying green

Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment: - Earlier this week and all looks good.  Heartbeat is normal and that's about it for now.  Our next appointment is in 4 weeks.

How are you feeling (rants/raves)? - I feel fine and think I might be starting to get some energy back, woohoo!

QOTW: I have to say I'm pretty happy with my life right now and am very thankful for it.
  • Week/fruit - 19/Mango

Team - find out in 5 days!

Rants/Raves - little one has been moving up a storm lately so my fears are subsiding. It's so strange to me, I'm slower to show this time around. I'm just starting to pop a little to where it's a little more obvious I'm pregnant and not just fat. I haven't gained any weight yet either which is awesome!

Appt - 5 more days!! Wednesday we'll get a good look at baby.

QOTW - I knew I would marry fairly young, wanted to be done with kids by 30-ish, and become a teacher. Most happened, I am a teacher, married by 23, and have two kids by 29. We don't know if we'll have any more kids so who knows if I'll be done by 30-ish and what that even really means.

  • Week/fruit: Week 17/Onion (July 17th)

    Team: Baby A Blue & Baby B ?

Have you had a recent appointment (how did it go)/When is your next appointment: I had my glucose test this wednesday & haven't heard anything yet. I'm hoping I passed. My next appointment isn't until the 16th so I absolutely cannot wait to find out about Baby B.

How are you feeling (rants/raves)? I've been sick with an upper respiratory infection for the last two weeks so physically I've been down in the dumps. On the upside, I'm finally starting to show. I'm so excited to show off my bump.

QOTW: When I was small, I always had tons of different plans but I always thought I'd be married by now & a child by 27. In high school, I wanted to be working somewhere overseas for a big company. I'm 27, not married but having my kids this year so I'm on track with that. I received my BA in Business Management 3 years ago and was recently starting to think about grad school doing a Masters in Fashion Merchandising. I'm a store assistant manager but am rethinking my profession in order to have a more stable life with my twins. It's especially hard to have those feelings when you truly like your job & your coworkers.
  • @emfolstad  Welcome!! We are thrilled to have you join us! Also welcome on joining the green team! Such an exciting all around journey! Congrats on the healthy HB. Hope your 19/20 week ultrasound comes quick for you! So awesome to be welcoming back that much needed energy!

@mnj05  I’m so anxious/excited to learn if you’ll welcome a boy or girl. Looking forward to your next update! Your so lucky to have such a active LO. Watching that baby bump grow is magical!! When mine first appeared I was so excited to see the very little round form and then like a week later it seemed so big!! Once it appears it grows fast!!

@nashley  SO hope the sixteenth comes quick for you! Do you have a guess of which gender you think it could be? Since its been a couple of days since hearing about your glucose test I’m guessing no news is good news. FX for you! Ick, sorry about the upper respiratory infection. BLAH!! Yey, for the start of the adorable bump!! Have you been feeling movement?

  • @DenaMaree‌ I really believe she's a girl lol! I call her "the little girl" all the time. The beginning of my pregnancy before I knew they were twins, I was sure I was having a boy. But now that it's two and I know I'm having a boy, I'm thinking B is a girl. I had a cold drink on Sunday and thought I felt movement in two different places & have felt movement every other day since. I'm just so happy because movement is definitely a good thing :)
  • Week/Fruit: 16 weeks/avocado

    Team:Green :((

Appt: Totally missed my appt Thursday sooo got it moved to this Monday.

Rant: I am still mad I missed my appt I was so excited my professor's decided to give me a test, pop quiz and pop presentation all n the same day! How is that possible? Life of a veterinary student.

Rave: My mom is coming to visit me and will be here for a week! I am excited about her making my favorite meals and keeping my house cleaned and entertaining our son. Even at the age of 31 I am very close to my parents I hope I have the same relationship with my kiddos.

Also, I have convinced a clinician at school to ultrasound my belly sooo if my Ob doesn't tell me the sex monday I can still find out $-) before my anatomy scan at 18 weeks.

QOTW: I have wanted to be a veterinary since I knew what one was. I have been in college since I graduated from high school and I am 31! I never thought this road would be sooo difficult but a few master degrees later and multiple attempts at getting into veterinary school I graduate in a little over a year.

I never wanted kids and now im on number two sooo thats the only equation in my life that has changed.

We are still building our collection of fur babies but I plan to have a mini zoo when im done lol.
  • Week: 19 weeks/mango

    Team: Blue!

Recent Appointments: Just had my a/s on Thursday. All was well, and I have a healthy baby boy.

Rants/raves: I was really hoping for a little girl. We already have a boy, so I was a little disappointed. But my little guy is healthy, so that's all that matters.
My bump has become slightly more noticeable. Not much, but it's there.
And I am having so much trouble finding a boy name that I'm in love with.

QOTW: Ever since I was little, I wanted to be a veterinarian, have two kids (boy&girl), and live in NC.
That hasn't gone exactly as planned. I am now studying to be a Physical Therapist Assistant. Going to have two boys as of July. And hopefully maybe I can still move to NC one day. That I would still enjoy.
  • Week/fruit: 19/mango

    Team: both Blue

Recent appt: @DenaMaree‌, I'm in the same boat, scheduled my "20 week" for 2/19 so we'll be a little bit farther along but I want H to be there so...

Rants/Raves: I'm totally showing now but I am hesitant to buy more maternity clothes since I don't know how fast I'll grow out of them with these twins! I feel like I'm bigger everyday but I'm patiently waiting to really feel these boys move. I've felt like muscle twitches but I can't wait to be 100% sure it's them.

QOTW: I always wanted to be a teacher & a mom. I ram out of $ while getting my Masters in secondary ed so I am working as an event planner/editor/legal assistant for a union. I might finish my Masters one day & teach when my kids are older
I'm finally, after 2 years of trying, going to be a mom & I'm so excited & thankful!
