horrible headaches, migraines and nausea

Any relief tips!? Im seriously miserable. I don't have pre-eclampsia. I have tried every medication the doctor can give me and nothing works. I already see a chiropractor 2x weekly.
These major headaches affect my vision and make me so sick I can hardly eat.

Re: horrible headaches, migraines and nausea

  • I was initially diagnosed with migraines in my teens. They're really not fun. I hope you can find relief soon. You've mentioned that the doctor has tried you on a bunch of medicines but have they tried treating the side effects individually- zofran for the nausea and extra strength Tylenol for the pain? I found that the zofran that dissolves works better and faster than the swallow kind. Hope this helps!

  • Extra strength tylenol doesnt work :( but no he hasnt given me zofran yet.
  • Have you tried keeping a food journal to see if something you eat may trigger your symptoms? And drink lots, and lots, and lots of water (at least 80-100 oz a day). I have a friend who swears by acupuncture for her migraines so that may be worth a try. And I would request a complete blood count (CBC) workup to make sure there is not something else going on like anemia.

I hope you start feeling better! :)
