Opposite of Push Present??

I don't know if there's a name for it but I would like to do something nice for hubby on delivery day! I'm just so happy and excited to be starting a family with him and he is going to be such a wonderful daddy. Has anyone done anything great for hubby/so or have any ideas?  I was thinking of getting a card and writing him a sappy letter in it but what small gift could I get to go with it?? Thoughts?!

  • Giggling to myself thinking of "pull present."
I think it'd be kinda cute! I'd love to do something similar but Dangit, I have so much I'm trying to get done before baby arrives and we are currently low on funds.
Personally, if I had the funds, I'd get DH an Art of Shaving kit, because it's something he wants, he'd get use out of, and it seems like a good "dad" present. Instead I'm hoping I can get it for him for Father's Day!
I don't know if that's something yours would be into or not, but I'll throw it out there anyway:)
  • The husbandman will either get some craft beer or a bottle of scotch.  I haven't decided which yet.
  • I got my husband a onsie that says "Best Dad in the Whole World" from Etsy, along with some cute Daddy/baby books.
  • You could throw a basket together of favorite drinks and snacks for hospital. If you go to Pinterest and look up "daddy survival kit" you can get some cute ideas!
  • Find a cute poem from baby to dad and write it on the inside of a book that's specifically for baby and dad. That's what I'm doing but for my SO's birthday tomorrow. It's more of a gift from baby to dad but I really like the idea of a gift at the hospital.
  • I'm getting the DH matching t-shirt/onsie. I got a couple. One is a baseball t with daddy written on his and baby has the baseball stitching. The other set has papa-saurus on the tshirt and baby-Saurus on the onesie. I thought it would be cute. And I am out of great ideas these days lol Maybe they will wear it home together :)
  • great ideas! thanks ladies! I love the daddy survival kit idea.  I will certainly resort to pinterest,.  And my to do list is also quite long so I shouldn't be adding anything but I cant help it! :-)

  • I got my husband a pocket knife with "dad, est 2015" engraved on it. We moved this summer and he hasn't been able to find his Swiss Army knife
    BabyFruit Ticker
  • oh wow! @krizzista I LOVE that idea.  I love love monogrammed and engraved things that's a great idea.

  • I did a daddy survival kit for DH when DD was born. I had it in my hospital bag and he didn't know it was there until we got to the hospital. It had a bunch of things that were useful for the hospital, funny things and snacks. These snacks were a life saver for DH. I wasn't allowed to eat and didn't want him to leave the room while I was in labor so he didn't get a full meal until I did. He demolished those snacks in the 12 hours I was in labor.
