TTC Again Check In

Hi ladies! Chi asked me to post this over on our bump home. Good luck to those ladies cycling!!  

((Hugs)) to everyone else who needs them!!   This check-in is open to anyone that is part of the SAIF community and is currently TTC again, either on their own, or via injectibles, IUI, IVF, adoption, etc.   A check-in will be posted every week.

Please reply to the check-in post if you would like to be added to the group. Each check-in will provide the opportunity for you to provide an update as to where you currently are in your TTC. Once you get pregnant please post about your first and second beta then move over to the pregnancy check in. TTC, without meds, hoping for a wonderful "surprise!

bleebebebebe- Hi. I hope its okay that I join in. I'm brand spanking new. I have a 17 month old DD conceived through IVF. We are currenly TTC the "old fashioned" way and have been for the last few months with no success (not that we expected anything different with only one jacked up tube). I am on the books for an April IVF cycle with meds starting in March. Very excited to be here! Hope you'll have me!

cinciem- Just living per usual here. It's the first month that we are both trying... Thus far, I've been taking timing into acct, but DH has not. Once I put a go/no go calendar out there he got more motivated.

fullfhope- we are TTC on our own right now, going to RE on December 29 and we will make a plan then for going forward.

Gregermis- Finally scheduled an appt with the RE. Mine left so I've been hesitant to go back

iloveflipflops- Hi everyone I would like to be added to this post. I just gave birth to my son in September, and my husband I will start ttc again on our own after my current second pp period ends . I'm 35 with a DOR diagnosis so this is why we're moving along so quickly with everything with trying for a sibling for our son. I'm hoping this time around no fertilty treatment will be needed everything crossed. I conceived my son with IUI+Clomid + ovidrel trigger. If we have no success with trying on our own we will head back to our fertilty center they were so wonderful I know we'd be in good hands.

katekat8721 AF came and went and was horrible. We are still trying on our own, a miracle baby would be nice but ya know. We filed our taxes and found we'll be getting back enough to cover the FET, so that's a load off our chest. I weaned from the pump so this cycle was all jacked up, I don't know if I should expect AF this weekend or if it'll be another 50+ day cycle. Annoying!

Okitty- Moved on to post partum cycle 4. I want to track OPKs and Temps and what not just to know what's going on, but we agreed that it's just a "happens when it happens" kinda thing. Just sucks. I'm debating asking our PCP (who was my OB and is LOs pedi) for metformin in a month or so if no success. He thought PCOS was probably our issue and offered it to me recently. MAbride0808-Cycle 3 was a bust. We are just going to continue to TTC until our RE appointment in March.

Thosethreewords-Waiting for testing and approval for IVF. We'll probably cycle in March. Meanwhile, DH is more than happy to try on our own. The RE has also gone to all 5 day transfers, which will make me super anxious during that wait. It was hard enough to get through 3 days. TTC, with treatments

amandaleigh1- My FET transfer date is supposed to be 2/10- assuming my frostie survives the thaw. I'm up to 4 vivelle patches (and running out of belly real estate). My lining check is on Tuesday after which I get to start the dreaded pio. I've decided to self-inject it. Wish me luck.

Ann679-I had my retrieval yesterday. I'm completely shocked. They got 8 eggs and 6 of them fertilized. That's more than my first 2 cycles combined. Now I'm hoping for some good growth. Bellalou – Just waiting for AF to arrive. This has been the longest month of my life cause I'm so excited to start yet I'm pooping myself cause I'm so scared to start.

EmAzeem- I was able to drop Lupron to 5units and feel so much better! I'm on the patches now. So far on track for FET to be on 2/11. Go in tmw for bw/us.

emwaiting – 6/18We are currently off all meds and just seeing what will happen on our own. Praying for that little miracle to happen. You know be one of those that can say "it will happen when you quit trying!" ha I will be 6 wks tomorrow from my last period so that is frustrating that it won't come on it's own. If it isn't here in another week then they will do a blood test to make sure I'm not prego and then do the meds to start my period. Kinda hard to have that miracle without my period or ovulating. We had to do IVF to get our DS so we are thinking we will have to go down that road again so time to save $$ again!

gazelle86- I just did an intro above, I will be FET next cycle!! Good luck everyone!

hugmonkey- Received all my meds. I go for my day 2 ultrasound on Wed (on day 3 because of the blizzard we're expecting). So, I may be started my injections soon. It feels unreal to be starting again.

June0609- We got 5 normal frosties after PGS. FET is scheduled for 12/10.

Kaf7- I am now super zitty but in the home stretch on the DHEA. Got AF on vacation so things start ramping up in about 2 weeks. So I called the RE this am with the cd1 date from when I was on vacation. I start suprefact on cd21 as I expected but it apparently doesn't matter when I get my next AF...they just gave me a date of feb 25 to go for an ultrasound/suppression check. If suppressed I start stims and go back 5d later. Does this sound right to you guys??? I am nervous with the new protocol and clinic. That suppression check is likely to be cd9 for me. I am used to going on cd 3.

KDR19179-7/16 I haven't been on the bump in awhile because I have been busy with the twins and work, but we are in the process of going back for our single frozen embryo. We don't tell many people IRL when we are going through IVF cycles, so I would love to talk about it somewhere! CD day 1 was July 10, I saw the RE on Monday. I'm taking estradiol 2mg 3x daily. I go back on 7/21 for an ultrasound and blood draw. The embryo transfer is scheduled for 7/28. We only have 1 embryo left and it has about a 65% chance of surviving thaw. If it survives thaw, it has a 27-30% chance of pregnancy.

Millie1984- Im waiting to start an IVF cycle-- just waiting for AF so I can start BCPs (which will hopefully be any day now...)

MrsAmyDylan- Had a good meeting with the RE Friday. Everything is all set and ready for the cycle start. I have injection teaching and and u/s to make sure my clomid cyst is gone on Tuesday. Lupron 2/6, stims, 2/8. It's coming soon! Pam MG – Had my beta this morning and it was 164!!! Next one is on Monday (what a stupid long wait).

Phishgirl29- FET next cycle. TTC on our own now.

Pinkmickey24-9/17 Cycle 3 is underway. Going to sit down and chat with DH about when we should return to the RE. I want to cycle August/September again because a May/June baby if all works out is much nicer on a teacher's schedule, but I would be grateful for a baby at anytime in the year.

Run20K-We will start IVF in March. Husband's most recent semen analysis showed 0 sperm, so we're doing a repeat in 2 weeks. We do have 6 vials frozen from a few years ago, but hopefully his production will increase after visiting the urologist next month. He took Clomid last time and that increased his count from 100 to 400,000. Fingers crossed! In the meantime, I'm training for a race and waiting for my period. I'm 2 weeks late, but not pregnant!

STL34-Going to try to do an FET in February. I have some concerns about doing this in February since it is a crazy busy month for me. But, I'm hoping it will either work out or I will get cancelled again. I may change my mind after I start the higher doses of Lupron they decided to use to try to suppress me (If you remember me from that other place, you might remember that I ovulated through Lupron and BCPs and my FET was cancelled).

trigirl79 – First appt was last Sat - 9 antral follicles. Started meds (Gonal-F and Menopur) last night, go in for my first monitoring appt on Friday!

WadzFaith-In 2ww purgatory after we transferred 2 embryos on Nov 2nd.  Ist Beta will be 11/14 (9 days to go!)

wreckitsmommy- Thank you for telling me about this check-in! I'll be sure to keep you all updated on Friday's appointment when we go get SCSA results! Once we get Friday's results we'll decide on a month to cycle and will keep trying naturally until then!

ON A BREAK, hoping to get back in the game soon

coastalchristina- haven't been on in a very long time but we're trying for #2 soon. We had a meeting with our new clinic yesterday and will hopefully be proceeding with our first FET with my March cycle. We just need to get the old clinic to send up our embryos and paperwork.

Efhoping2010- Taking the trip this weekend for the work-up testing at the big clinic for potential IVF/ICSI #4 with CCS and FET, hoping and praying my situation is not too dire for using my eggs.

HeatherHam10- Just dropping in for my first actual post. I go to see the RE again tomorrow...LO is 5 months and we are planning to do an fet in april. I feel like a bit of a crazy person. We shall see how this goes!

Blueinred - I saw a different RE last Friday. Good news and bad news is that nothing untoward jumped out at him. In all 3 FETs lining was within the normal range, albeit on the low end. E2 levels were fine. He would not change FET protocol except to do an endometrial scratch. Obviously he can't guarantee a BFP and I am really scared to even try again.

missilini- We have our appointment with our RE tomorrow afternoon. I'm a little nervous that we are all ready at this point. Does anyone know about a medication donation program. We have to pay for everything out of pocket.

My update is that I had my injection training and u/s on Tuesday. I have a massive cyst that occupies my entire right ovary (thanks clomid). I had blood draw to determine the characteristics of the cyst. I learned today it is a non-functional cyst. I'm going in Friday to have it drained. I'm feeling grumpy about the extra bs, but grateful that if all goes okay on Friday we can proceed as planned.

Grrrr...and my regular RE is off this week. His partner (DH and I call him Dr. Slick) has to to the procedure.

I Just returned from pre-IVF/ICSI #4 one day testing, it was exhausting! Other than DH having an awful experience with the infertility urologist there it went well. I had an AFC of 12 which is the highest I can remember. Hysteroscopy was clear and uterine blood flow good. The RE gave me the chances of success with my Day 3 labs from last year, plus the AFC, and also since my first IVF worked of 50% with a fresh PESA at ER from DH and CCS and FET. This statistic is for pregnancy and birth.

That was reassuring since the other RE's I have seen have given us a success rate of 10% and 15%.

They also put me on a supplement they are studying for DOR and embryo quality so I started that the next day.

So now we wait for February AF for CD 3 labs to be drawn and sent and the results from the myriad of expensive OOP blood tests required. Then the RE will regroup with me via phone and give us more accurate chances of success.

I also need to have DH speak with and maybe even meet with their other infertility urologist.

A long process but at least it has finally started, yay!

I had an appointment with my RE yesterday for a fluid ultrasound. All looked fine. So I got my calendar and a birth control Rx. BCPs should start in about 2 weeks with my next period and meds begin in mid March. It's kind of starting to feel real that we are really about to go through this again. Getting nervous too....

Well baseline for my February FET was supposed to be yesterday. Even though they used a different BCP and upped my lupron to 20 units per day, I am gearing up for ovulation. My RE thinks we should trigger tomorrow night, start progesterone support on Sunday and transfer our last embryo next Friday. Even though that throws everything for a loop, she convinced me that this could be really good. Sounds like we are about to use our very last chance!!

I just had my FET lining check today. Lining measured 9.8mm and was trilaminar, so we are on for transfer 2/10 assuming we have a surviving frostie. I am trying to manage my expectations. We shipped my 3 frosties from Seattle to Boston, so they were A) shipped, and

going to be thawed by a lab different from the freezing lab. These things make me nervous. They will thaw the "best" one, a day 5 BB hatching blast. I am only going to transfer 1.

Tomorrow, I start the progesterone injections. Wish me luck.

ETA: I just did the PIO shot. It was not too bad. I can do this!!

I am curious because I know two people jumped ship from there and had success elsewhere (each in different places).

I estimate I am on my final 33 days of DHEA ever now....wahoo. To be honest...now that we are 4 months into it I am not really noticing the side effects anymore. I start suprefact and ASA in a week. Suppression check is feb 25 with a probable stim start date of feb 26. I still can't really visualize their calendar for me and it is totally different from previous cycles for me so that has me unnerved. It seems weird to me to go in for a baseline ultrasound on what I estimate will be cycle day 9...

Well, it's a different RE but same place. I'm going to meet with her and see how I feel. We'll either go there or see Dr. Lin in her new place.

I just ovulated in our TTCA naturally journey. We have our meeting with RE in about a month. I should be in the middle of my next cycle and hopefully will be able to get all our retesting done in March & April for a May FET!
