My doctor has put me on progesterone compounds 100mg 2x daily. These things make me nausea as soon as I put them in. Any suggestions? Anyone else taking these?
Hi! I am not sure what compound means but I take Prometrium for my luteal phase defect (low progesterone.) I am on a twice a day suppository and have not had any side effects from it. It's not glamorous but it has not affected my hormones at all or made me nauseaus. Maybe worth asking your doctor for that type? If it is different from your current type? Hope you start to feel better soon!
I am taking the same dosage as you darianbrooke. I am not nauseaus from these at all, mine hits around 3pm. I would call your dr, or see about getting the compound from a different pharmacy? Since they make them at the pharmacy.
I am! 200mg 2x/day. My P4 level was 4.2 when they checked it the first time. After prometrium, it went up to 19. I freaked out, and am so glad I asked them to check it. If I had not, I would have miscarried. No real symptoms besides preggo ones lol. So tired, bb's hurt and are getting bigger, and so nauseous. I just think it's because I'm pregnant though We've waited 2.5 years for this so I'll deal!
My doctor never told me that my levels were low, just wanted to take precautions! But I'm still not sure if it just those or if it is that mixed with being 6 weeks preggers! We've waited so long for this so I hate to complain, but man I may have to get something for the nausea. I've been sick in bed the past two days
I'm on progesterone 200mg 2/day oral. My doctor had advised if they make me too sleepy to insert vaginally, but I've been on them for 3 weeks with no symptoms. Just cranky, crampy, and the tah tahs hurt. No morning sickness yet either (kinda nervous about that) but overall, I feel fine.
I take a crinone progesterone suppository once a day and only really side effect I noticed was my tatas swelling within the first week of using it. We used IVF to get pregnant so that was the week I conceived.
