No feeling in leg after birth...solutions anyone?

So I just had a beautiful baby boy on February 3rd (yesterday) and was in active labor for over 60 hours. I noticed that early on into contractions that my left leg was getting all tingly. Then after 8 or so hours went completely numb. I figured that the baby was just laying on my nerves so I wasn't too worried about it. But even after 60+ hours and another day after birth my leg is still really numb. I can't really walk on it. I ended up falling because I couldn't feel where my foot was. Has anyone ever had this happen to them after birth and should I be worried. I can slightly move my toes, but not upward, I can't roll my ankle. I can feel my hand touch my foot, it's just really numb.

Yes, after delivery I was numb from my knees to my hips. I did not have an epidural. The midwife told me it was fairly common and probably nerves and circulation re-adjusting in my lower back/abdomen/hips, and advised that if feeling had not returned in a week to call.

I was told to walk and stretch as much as possible, and to sleep flat, not propped up or elevated - hospital beds often are raised. Feeling returned in 3 days. Yours sounds more serious than mine (I was able to walk). I'm sure you have already, but definitely tell your doctor.

Depending on what your dr says, I would seriously seek out a PT who specializes in pelvic floor. My sister is one and often describes such injuries and pain or numbness that her patients have after childbirth. There's a lot of shifting of the pelvic floor, but she has worked tons of "miracles" with her patients. So don't just think it's how things have to be! Hope you're well and recovering fine otherwise

Half or my left thigh and my left knee have been "tingly numbish" since I had DS. I asked my OB about it yesterday, he said I probably strained or popped a nerve in delivery and it would eventually go away.
