Brown Discharge w/Bowel Movement (sorry if TMI)

Hi All --

I'm 15 weeks along and just yesterday started having a light brown discharge w/a bowel movement (that was after a couple days constipation). I didn't see anymore of the discharge at all until this morning. But this morning there was a lot, and once again, right before a bowel movement. Its been about an hour since I've seen it.

I've called the doctor's office and they don't seem concerned. She mentioned a "friable cervix." Anyone experience this?

    This happened to me once at 9 1/2 weeks. I called my doc right away, and because of my history of MMCs he sent me in for an ultrasound that afternoon. It showed I had a small subchorionic hematoma which had cause the brown discharge. It only happen that one time, and my doc wasn't concerened in the least, but I've upped my water intake to offset constipation. If you continue to have brown discharge would your doc let you come in for a quick scan to make sure everything's ok?

    I had a hematoma causing this in early pregnancy, every time I'd go #2 I'd spot and it'd go away. You could possibly have a small one.

    I had this happen to me at 18 weeks. I called my doctor and went to the ER. Everything was fine they saw her in an ultrasound and they heard her heart beat. I continued to spot and at one spoilt I spotted bright red, I followed up with my midwife and everything was fine. After talking to her she came to the conclusion that it could possible be because of my constipation and sent me dulcolax. I spotted once more and am crossing my fingers and don't anymore. After speaking to other pregnant women, I came to realize that spotting is way more frequent than I thought as long as you don't bleed enough to fill up a pad and have severe cramping. Hope this helps.

    I had a friable cervix during my pregnancy in 2012. I bled every time I laughed, coughed, sneezed, pooped, and walked too much. Sometimes it was brown discharge, sometimes it was bright red blood, like a period, but it was completely painless. The baby was perfectly fine.

    I have a friable cervix too and would bleed after most bowel movements before pregnancy. I had a really bad bout of constipation and bled quite a lot around week 12. I went and got some miralax and once I got on a regular schedule I was fine.
