Intro and Question.

Hi! I have a son born 8/2013. I'm new on this SN but was active on another that I can no longer remember the log in info for.
Anyways, we Started TTCaS 2/2014. No luck. First RE appt was 1/9, and an ultrasound showed that I have a 3cm cyst on my left ovary. Since that cycle was going to be diagnostic (hsg, S/A) the RE decided to put me on Aygestin (5mg) twice a day for 3 weeks in an attempt to shrink the cyst.

Fast forward to last Friday, 1/30, ultrasound showed that the cyst had not decreased in size. She told me to discontinue use. My last pill was last Thursday PM. I still have not had my period. I spotted a little on Tues and Wed, but not enough for CD1. She said I wouldn't bleed as much as I normally do since my lining was thin. Does anyone else have experience with this? When did your CD1 start? I am supposed to start clomid on CD3. I just don't want to mess anything up!

Background: conceived son first cycle. Tried for 11 cycles, called RE. All my bloodwork is normal, hsg normal, OR and ovaries look great. We thought we were unexplained until we got DH SA back. 1% strict morphology. There's the issue. Never ever would have thought! We are going to do 3 medicated IUI cycles then move on to IVF.

If only AF would show!

    Hi! I'm new here too so I don't have a lot of experience to offer, but I was wondering is RE going to remove cyst before starting Med cycle for IUI?

    ME: Submucosal Fibroid Surgery Date APRIL 14th 2015 -Left Tube is blocked by Fibroid~Surgeon removed 26 Fibroids from my Ute and Unblocked my Tube

    DH:Azoospermia...Thank God we have 12 vials of frozen swimmers

    July 15-Check to see if Ute is all healed

    IUI #1 8/3/15...BFN

    IUI #2 9/5/15...BFP on 9/17/15

    Beta #1-344

    Beta #2-809

    Beta #3 8,390

    1st u/s 8/8/15 1 bean HB 135 @ 6w5d

    She said she didn't want to. She said a lot of times when there is any surgery on the ovary, it's more damaging than not. She said since it was just a simple, fluid filled cyst that I wasn't harming anything. Her only concern is that it may "eat up" the clomid and hog it instead of sharing with the other follicles. Welcome to you too!!! :)

    TTC #2 March 2011
    BFP# 2 after 4 rounds of clomid (blighted ovum)12/11
    BFP# 3 w help of clomid 2/12 DS born 10/24/2012

    TTC#3

     Stopped preventing when DS was 6 months old (4/13), really started TTC 10/13
    Started clomid July 2014, 3 failed rounds of clomid w OB (low pro on CD 21) sent to RE

    HSG and blood work all good
    round 1: clomid and trigger shot~BFN
    round 2: clomid, trigger and IUI~BFN
    round 3: clomid, trigger and IUI +4 booster HCG~NOPE

    On a break!!! Til April/May 

    round 4:clomid, trigger (missed IUI window) NO fricking way BFP

    IVF #1, Stimmed for 12 days, ER 8/22/14, 9 retrieved, 7M, 7F!!  Freeze all due to fluid in uterus.
    FET end of October 2014 cancelled due to fluid in uterus due to possible c-scar defect
    Surgery scheduled 12/12/14 to fix possible isthmocele
    3/26/15 transferred one 8 cell grade 4 embryo and one 6 cell grade 3 embryo = slow rising betas for 2+ weeks = ectopic MTX shot 4/29/15
    Repeat c-scar surgery June 2015
    2nd and last IVF cycle August 2015, stimmed for 12 days, 2 egg retrieved, both mature and both fertilized.  Transferred both 8-cell embryos on Day 3, beta 9/5/15 = BFFN
    MOVING TO ADOPTION!

    i've never heard of taking a med to shrink a cyst other than bcps. or aspiration. weird.

    put on some white pants. that might help AF along. hope she shows soon!

    BFP #7 (beyond surprised again!) 4/26/16. EDD 1/5/17. beautiful betas!!!! and then near-fatal hemorrhagic corpus luteum. turns out baby was ectopic after all; another lap 5/6 (@24dpo).

    Welcome. I don't know anything about meds to shrink a cyst. I had a cyst that eventually went away on its own. Good luck!
