Re: Healthy eating checkin for 2/4
As for favorite dinner I have this great beef and noodle recipe that we love.

OK, screw healthy eating.
Dream lunch: ooey gooey grilled cheese, tomato and roasted red pepper soup, with Oreos and milk.
Reality lunch: PB&J and pudding, with an apple and orange for snacks
My favorite winter food is homemade veggie pho with gluten free noodles and lots of mushrooms. Has a ton of antioxidants and the broth is so warming.
My stomach seems to be growling more than normal -- so I have been carrying around a bag of carrots to munch on between meals.
I went to spin class this morning and it already seemed harder-- really hoping to keep up my exercise regime through this pregnancy!
What I want for lunch: an entire sleeve of thin mints and a cheeseburger
What I'm having: egg/avocado/Swiss on 100cal thin bread (not for cals, just have a low tolerance for wheat), grape tomatoes, string cheese and a clementine.
My very silly friend at work started what he calls "the 4pm salad club", so I'll be having a small green salad at 4 as well
I'll be having my favorite winter meal for dinner: homemade beef stew from the crockpot! Yum!

This week I've been good about making a veggie with each meal and I've been eating applesauce to help my nausea. Next grocery trip, I'm going to try to stock up on more fresh fruits and frozen veggies as well as salad.
Edit to add:
One of my favorite, and reasonably healthy and cheap winter meals is chili made in my crock pot. I take 16 oz red beans, a pound of ground beef (you could use turkey if you want it leaner), and a packet of chili spices (though next time I'm going to try using my own spices). Add a can of tomato sauce and a can of crushed tomatoes, cook for 8 hours on low. My husband, who normally eats at least 2 portions of anything I make, says one bowl of this stuff fills him up. I love it because it means I only have to cook once for 2 days.
