Is it worth using a thread for our various gaming tags? Perhaps we could state which game, a tag and whether US/EU/other?

I'd love to WoW with more like minded people! For those interested, we are
@ mrandmrswow on twitter :)

Re: Gaming Mama's!

  • I actually met my husband on WoW almost 8 years ago. When we had DS we stopped playing. We just didn't have the time. We play FFXIV now but, really can't play like we use to. No more raiding nights for us. I don't know how many other gaming moms are here but it's nice to know there's one more ;)
  • I grew up on WoW haha
Both my parents played and all us kids started to get into it as well! Haven't played in a few years, now into more strategic games (Civilization) and RPG like Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age. Easier to find the time if you can pause and save whenever :)
  • Loading the player...
  • I haven't played much since becoming pregnant, been sticking to minecraft as it's easier to pause as you say.

Love that their are wow fans out there, women are so under represented!!!
  • My husband got me into Wow about 3-4 years ago. I play on Sargeras. But I can't right now, since I'm in hospital.

  • Grew up on WoW now I feel old. I've been playing for at least a decade but I really get tired of 12 year olds yelling at me in instances that I don't know how to play. Sorry I don't have 60 hours a week to play this game!!
  • Gone are the days of spending all weekend and every evening raiding huh!

I've never played WoW due to it being a pay to play game so I played other mmos like Mabinogi, Vindictus, Soul of the Ultimate Nation, and etc. I love a variety of games like Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Infamous, Mortal Kombat, Heavy Rain, and the list goes on and on. I don't play anything right now and it is so sad. I sold my ps3 before ps4 came out due to issues with depression. Now all I can play on is my laptop. I do plan on getting a ps4 then eventually an Xbox One.

Yeah :( I was a hardcore raider up until my first kid. I kinda miss it sometimes but, most of the time I just wanna sleep lol. I got over not playing as much a lot faster then I thought I would.
  • I think I miss the friend side of it you know... The lifestyle and socialising. I will prob re sub for the month off work before baby arrives but I can't say I'm really missing it.
  • Yeah, I get that. I still keep in touch with people on skype or FB. The only reason I played WoW for so long was the people not the game.

My husband got me Draenor for my maternity leave. I did a lot of grinding while hooked up to the breast pump when my first was born. Of course I took one look at the talent system and was totally lost. All my mods are out of date. I have no idea what these pandas are about. I'm a hot mess!
  • Ok... I am a gaming mama BUT I have never played WoW :-| always wanted to but never got around to it. I use to play more playstation then anything but DH bought a xboxone and I couldn't afford a ps4 as my boss fired me from being pregnant SO I'm on Xbox now more. I LOVE DRAGON AGE AND ELDER SCROLLS :D:D I like this post haha..
Currently playing far cry 4 and assasins creed unity

Hubs got me into WOW for a few years but I got tired of the monthly fee and also my laptop started to make game play agonizing. We both gave it up right before the Pandaria expansion. I have a hard time with the newer games now. Give me any of the Final Fantasy games though and I'm good to go.
  • It's nice to see other girl gamers out there!
  • Hardcover gamer here. Xbox gamer tag is HotboysWifey. Add me... as far as PC games I tried Wow and hated it. But I was so deep into City of Heroes/Villains I was crushed when they shut it down.
  • I was hardcore gamer before kids. Now I play WoW casually and that is about it. I'll rock some old school FF or Zelda and occasionally break out Dragon Age, but not much and not often. I miss it terribly. Dh got to keep more of his hobbies because they involve leaving the house. As an introvert, most of my hobbies were at home. And since my kids are at home... Not so much.

I think I saw a new Zelda out recently. Is that true?!
  • Ahh the Pandas are awesome ^^ how about GW2? Apparently that's supposed to be pretty good!
  • @manacita‌ there is a new zelda game coming out that is supposed to be really open world more than usual and supposed to be really amazing but hasn't come out yet it's just called zelda so not sure if it supposed to be a remake of the very first or just a new game all together. There is a new zelda that just came out but it is called hyrule warriors and it looks very different to normal zelda games so I'm not interested in it whatsoever. Sorry for the sloppy typing I'm really tired
  • I wish there was something good I could play on my phone at night when I'm too uncomfortable to sleep. I guess it's hard to develop a decent RPG for mobile.
  • Thought I would add that we just got a release date for elder scrolls online for Xbox/playstation yaaaay (for aus but you guys have probably been way ahead of us lol) no game subscriptions required! Only problem being I will have a 1 month old who will most likely never ever let me play..

Oh no! 1 months old let you play all you want. As long as they can still nurse. It is when they are 6+ months that they put the nix on your gaming.
  • @manacita‌ wooooooo that's good to know :) haha

Ha! ^ this. I use to play when DS was sleeping all the time. 1 month olds are like cats lol.
  • Yes!!! So much love for this thread. We fell in love playing WoW together. Haven't played it much in the last year there's just too much of life happening. But my lvl90 BloodElf warrior will always be there to go back to! :-bd
  • Horde, bah! ALLIANCE FOREVER ;)
  • For The Alliance!
  • Horde FTW!!! Undead warlock over here! ;-)

I have an 85 dreanai hunter that I stopped playing about 3 years ago. I just picked wow back up about 4 months ago and have no idea how to play that gal. I had to start over or die of instance fail embarrassment. But my old 85 has the most amazing gear!

  • Played Wow for a long time with ex Husband. From when it 1st started till just before Blood elves came out. I miss it! Right now I'm playing Dragon Age games on my PS3. And the games I keep on my phone lol.
  • Haha yes I am a bit addicted to diamond digger... *blush*
  • @gamergirl83‌ Dragon age is easily one of my favourites! All 3 of them!
  • Awesome idea for a post! I'm a huge gamer nerd covered in 1980's videogame tattoos hehe. I play Everquest though since 2000, I tried Wow but nothing could ever beat Everquest for me :) I also play millions of other games, Counter Strike, Starcraft, survival horror games are my fav. Resident Evil and EQ are my fav games :)
  • PS u ladies are lucky ur hubby plays MMORPGs w you. My hubby games alot but he really doesn't like MMORPGs, I have to force him to play EQ w me lol
  • Gamer mama here too I play more Diablo 3 then anything else but with my first kid I played the heck out of gw2 I have 3 lvl 80's but don't play it much anymore but I'm sure I'll get back into it when I go on mat leave.
  • I rock a resto shammy and have been playing since vanilla when I became a stay at home mom. I raid vs pvp but I recently rage quit my guild though. I blame it on the pregnancy horomones. Lol I really dont have the time anymore for scheduled raids now that my kids are getting older. Not like in Wotlk which was best exp ever! Miss those days!
Zelda is a game I have always played too. A couple years ago my sister and I got matching zelda tattoos (pixelated) hearts on our wrists. Still love it!

Lol that's awesome, I actually have the same thing but it's just one part of my 8bit sleeve hehe. I also have zelda and navi righy next to the hearts. Kudos on the hearts, I know I'm not the only one who has it there but I've yet to meet anyone else... ur the first ;)
  • My husband is going to die when he sees this. He got me into WoW a few years ago because he is addicted. We live in a different states from family and friends and so it is our way of staying in touch with a lot of them. He always has the chat on speaker and they just talk all night like little girls. I have taken a little break due to work and then being to tired but he has his weekly raids :)
  • Gnome Mage 4lyf!!! ;)

I wish I was more into this expansion... Garrisons are fine til they get boring.

Love D3 too. Never got into EQ though!
