We have the IKEA one and love it. It's not very heavy, but you can put heavy things in the little cart area. You can also adjust the screws on one set of the wheels to make them turn more or less easily. LO loves to play with it, though he can't use it by himself yet. Hopefully soon!
We have a FP Rock n' Roll type walker that I DON'T recommend. It's good for them to sit in front of and play with, but for walking it is too light and basically just runs away on them and so they face plant. At least that was my experience with DD. We kept it more as a toy when sitting and it's good for that.

Edit: Holy run-on sentence!
Is it this one? I have this one and its awful.. don't get it. DD also face plants with it. I wonder if its worth getting another one or if she will even need one.

We have a Vtech sit to stand walker. It's plastic but the wheels have locks for beginners. LO pulls up on it all the time, and has yet to face plant with it.
We got DD a stride and ride elephant. At first she would put her weight into it and it would roll away from her. I would just walk around with her and slow it down. Now she has better control of her steps and loves it. She walks all over the house with it! We also sit her on it and push her around and she loves that!
