We're attending a birthday party for a one year old girl on Saturday. Which gift would you rather receive for your one year old?

  • I think books are always great, and a ball is age appropriate (plus there are tons of options). LO is starting to lose interest in stacking toys.

  • I'm a huge book fan which is why my girls already have a million, so I picked stacking toy since they don't have any, but I agree that you can't go wrong with books, but all of these are something a kid would enjoy!

  • I voted cars and truck mostly because we don't have any of those and have the others.

I voted stacking toy because M loves to knock down towers I build. He shrieks with delight, which keeps me building. But I think any of the options are good ones.

    This is me too.
  • Bath toys! I also like to give bathtub markers and crayons. They're fun and kids love them.

  • I voted other.  We could use some clothes for DS.  At first we had tons.  Lots of hand me downs and gifts but we don't have many clothes for him as he gets bigger.

My grammar nazi self is totally annoyed with this run on sentence I just wrote.

I never call people out ... Except in my mind. And even sometimes in replies that I never click "post" on.

  • My little guy is obsessed with his rubber ducks at bath time. We have a variety of sizes and he's like a dog trying to fit them all in his mouth at once. It's pretty stinkin cute. My vote is for bath toys. Never underestimate the power of a simple (rubber duck, ball, book) gift!
