  Yep, I'm the same way. At 8 weeks right now and I'm definitely the plan-ahead type. I won't be going crazy with big spending, but I have a list going already and will be doing a little early shopping. The essentials and the baby room will be done by 5 months I'm sure. That's just my nature. Embrace whatever works for you!

  My only concern is that I wanna stock up on as much as we can from our showers. Otherwise... Omg they have the cutest little set at target right now! It has a porcupine on the front of the little onesie. So cute

  I'm on the same train girl but on this one I'm (9W2D) and I haven't had my first appt yet until 2/12 I'm crazy to have my baby in my arms already jeje

  Exactly! I'm due September so don't want to be a huge overheated mess trying to scramble and get things done. We're keeping the baby shower very small, so we aren't expecting lots of gifts from people. I want everything done by Mid-June, so I'm making plans to work it out that way.

  I feel the exact same way!!!! So excited.... I've waited 4 years to get pregnant and now I am, and time is just slow as a snail!  I want to hold my sweet baby already!!  I will probably start buying stuff at 12 weeks...

  Dang, I miss American stores. I picked up a few onesies on vacation because of the specific locations/pattern on the onesie, but I would love to just browse Target or something. There's not much here to buy baby stuff without going into individual shops, or going into the city. I'm not sure where Germans buy stuff here. Haha.

  I'm 8 weeks and I've already bought a wooden baby gym and some cloth diapers-I can't help it! I have everything saved from my first, so we don't need much. I've already sorted through the maternity and newborn boxes and made a list. I'm a planner and excited, bad combination

  I'm waiting until later to buy some of the bigger stuff but I have been so tempted to go out and but cute little onesies and socks and stuff. I have to use all my self control not to go in the baby section every time I go to the store. When is everyone starting their registry as well? I'm afraid I will start mine to early and the stuff I want won't be there anymore when the time comes

  I plan on starting mine once second trimester starts  (I've already kind of started one on amazon when I get bored). I want enough time to make sure I do in fact have everything on it. I'd like to have an early baby shower (just after third tri starts) so I have time to exchange or buy anything I still need. It'll be dead of summer and I will have NO energy to do anything if I wait until 35 weeks for a shower.

  I know it's stupid, but I'm too afraid I'll "jinx it". I've been seeing all kinds of cute stuff or even big maternity clothes sales on summery clothes, but I'm just too afraid.  My bff is basically sitting on her hands waiting to be allowed to buy stuff, LOL!

  I'm 9w 3d and I purchased a baby play yard the other day because it was $40 off. That was my first baby purchase. I'm waiting until the second trimester to buy more.

  Lol i did last night! Destination Maternity sent me an email for a free carseat canopy I fell in love with a pink one! Even though i kinda want another boy.. good thing though if its not a girl i have a friend who is having a girl and will be having a baby shower after i find out what i am having! Sign up with destination maternity these things are like $50.00 each at the store

  I'm definitely waiting until second tri. I had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks with my last pregnancy. It would have been sooooo painful to have to put away new baby items.

  I've been picking up baby clothes for a while now, especially good quality items on sale. I'll be waiting for larger items as we will be moving mid-pregnancy.

  I've been trying not to shop at all (I'm 8wks5days) but after seeing that lil rasberry with arms with the amazing heartbeat yesterday I couldn't help myself today....I came across a baby swing and a bouncy chair in excellent condition on one of the local rummage sale sites on my facebook I'm picking up both items tomorrow for a very reasonable price I'm uber excited!!

  I picked up some clearence large cotton shirts for the summer. I plan to go with those and skirts. But I'm waiting for a while (summer) to go baby shopping unless I see something on amazing sale.

  I'm only 6 weeks and have never bought baby items before 4-5 months with my first two children. However, I bought a few maternity items jeans, a cami, t shirt, and a work out racer back at target for 40 bucks on clearance. The jeans full price were 35 so i couldnt resist. I figure with a 90 day return policy I will be ok...i walked through the baby section eyeballing car seats and swings...

  I bought a swing from a co-worker. That's it!! I know once we find out what we're having I'll go crazy! This is the first grand baby on either side so I have a feeling our peanut will be spoiled!

  I'm 7w6d and I bought a bassinet off of our local facebook yard sale site. It was $20! I couldn't help it! Other than that though, we will probably wait until we find out the sex. Plus it's hard to hide my purchases from friends and family since we haven't told them yet!!

  I'm 9 weeks Saturday and we bought a car seat, and bottles (on sale) because all baby sales happen once a year, and all at the same time. Go figure! We also bought a Peg Perego stroller for $80, and I just couldn't pass that up. I'm not buying any clothing, or anything else until later on because I mean clothes are either inexpensive, or you can get them for cheap; I'm also finding out the gender, so that's a biggie. My MIL on the other hand is driving me insane buying clothing and toys. It makes me super uncomfortable and she refuses to stop.

  I would wait till at least finding the sex since u would be out of the first trimester.
  
  With both my kids I waited till after the baby shower. And needed nithing but pamper wips and milk. But when I had my kids I was a teenager so I was in school living with my parent.
  
  Now that I'm on my own we cat wait . just waiting to find out their sex!!!!
