Transverse lie

any ladies here got any experience with their baby in a transverse lie? I know a C-section would be needed if she doesn't move head down, but at 38 weeks I was not expecting her to still be in this transverse position! I am seeing my Midwife tomorrow so can ask some proper questions, but just wanted to see if anyone has had any first hand experience with it themselves?!

Re: Transverse lie

  • No, but thoughts and prayers that your LO flips!

  • Thankyou so much, I'm really hoping she does flip I was hoping to get through the pregnancy as naturally as possible!
  • I haven't had this happen but have you checked out spinning babies? It's worth a shot. FX your LO flips.
  • I'm not quite in the same position as you. My little guy is breech at 38.5 weeks. I've been trying to get him to flip since 36.5 with the help of spinning babies, chiropractics and acupuncture but no luck so far. I'm going to try ECV this weekend at 38w6d which is when the doctor manually turns the baby from the outside. It's kind of our last ditch attempt to try and turn him otherwise I have a c-section scheduled for 2/16. I definitely suggest spinning babies and whatever else you are comfortable with and your midwife approves of in order to help the baby go head down. It's worth a shot in order to avoid a c-section, well at least for me it is.
