Wiped blood..

I just went to the toilet and wiped a bit of blood. There is no blood leaking into my underwear but I do have small cramps. I'm 6w3days, please tell me this is normal?! I'm so scared and worried something may be wrong

I have never seen blood down there since I last my last period last year and this is my first pregnancy, someone please help

A lot of woman do have some spotting during the first trimester, I did with my last pregnancy. But I would definitely put a call into your OB so they are aware and can help ease your mind.

@trj724‌ thankyou. I'll be making an appointment tomorrow, by spotting do you mean do you mean like the tiniest bit of blood? There was a bit in the toilet but wasn't much and also when I wiped. I just want to cry

Kathy, I too am a FTM and experienced the same thing during week 6. First, call your doctor. Second, stay calm.

My bleeding continued for a week before I got in for an appointment. At that time we got to see the baby and the heartbeat. I'm now at week 9 and the bleeding seems to have stopped. Don't assume the worst, cherish the fact that you are pregnant and try to relax.

Yes I mean small amount. When it happened to me it was mostly when I wiped but every woman is different and like pp said don't assume the worst, try to relax and cherish the fact that you are pregnant! Definitely put a call into your ob so they know what's going on and can guide you in the right direction on what to do! Sending you positive vibes!!

happened to me last week (week 6). went to er, everything was fine..had a heartbeat. my experience was exactly like you described. it switched to dark spotting the next day and has been there since, only when I wipe. Doc says not to worry unless there is a lot of red/pink blood and severe cramping. try to relax, put your feet up as.much as possible. good luck!

Happened to me at about 6 weeks. Ultrasound showed a tear in my uterus lining that caused the bleeding and cramping, but also saw a healthy baby with a strong heartbeat. Definitely cause for concern, check in with your OB and I'm sure they will want to do some things to try to figure out the cause of the blood. But don't worry yourself too much! Plenty of women have some bleeding early in pregnancy and end up with healthy babies.

Try not to worry! I had one instance of spotting during week 5 when I wiped. Saw the baby and heartbeat at 8 weeks and everything was perfect. Then I had 3 days of spotting this past weekend (only when I wiped, ranging from red to pink) so I went to the doc to get it checked out yesterday. Turns out I have cervical ectopy, a condition where the cells usually on the inside of your cervix extend to the outside of your cervix due to the higher levels of estrogen in your system. This is very common during pregnancy and can cause spotting throughout the pregnancy, but will not harm you or the baby. The doctor was able to see this by doing a cervical exam on me. I also had an ultrasound again yesterday just for peace of mind and there was baby wiggling away with an excellent heart rate. My doctor told me that unless I have bleeding that requires a pad and strong cramps (not just small cramping which is normal when your uterus is growing) that I don't need to be concerned. Thank you so much ladies!!! This really means a lot to me, you have all given me a bit of peace at mind. I havnt bled anything since last night and there is no blood leaked into my underwear, just when I wiped. It really scared me, I was so upset

but I'll be seeing my doctor today just to make sure everything is okay, I havnt seen an OB yet but she will be referring me to one today and hopefully sometimes this week or next week I can get my first ultrasound just to make sure everything is okay in there. Thankyou again ladies! I'm so glad I have kind people to give me advice and hear your experiences during this time!

I've been going through the same thing as well. I woke up Sunday to substantial amount of blood and I panicked. I went strait to ER and had an US. I found out I am further along then I thought too (8w6d). US came back great with a perfect heartbeat and good HCG levels. She said to keep an eye out for abdominal pain, heavy cramping and bleeding more than 1 pad an hour. I am happy to say so far so good. I have had a little bit of brown spotting when I wipe, but that's the old blood leaving. I have a follow up tomorrow morning! Fingers crossed! Hope this helps! I know this is crazy nerve racking time for all of us!

I have been spotting for a day or so every time after having sex (I guess it chafes my cervix), and I've had some breakthrough bleeding on the days when I would have gotten my period. I'm 8w4d. Everything is totally fine, and some spotting in the first trimester is very common.

congrats, I went to the doctors this morning and the doctor said its common, but I was still a little worried so she gave me a blood test and I'll be getting another one on Friday just to make sure my hcg levels are doubling

@cjagogo Thanks for your advice! That defiantly did help and gave me a peace of mind! I'm getting another blood test on Friday just to make sure my hcg hormones are doubling! I won't find out until Monday unfortunately but I know everything will be okay

pregnancy just really worries me because I just want to be doing everything right for my baby
