Sorry again for the late post ladies!! It's been a crazy busy morning!
1. I'm 16 weeks 4 days
2. Emotionally ok, defiantly feel my hormones take over some times. Physically : let's just say I HaTE MS!!
3. I had an apt on Wednesday with an elective ultrasound clinic to have the gender determined: we have our gender reveal on the 7th and I'm starting to get really excited. I'm really hoping for at least one girl! even though DH thinks it's two boys . My next appt is on Monday with my regular OB to check on the babies
4. Rants: I saw a dead kitty on my way to work. I am a huge cat lover: I had to pull over to cry! Totally broke my heart. I get teary eyed just thinking about it. Raves: I'm looking forward to my gender reveal!! I can't wait to see what these babies are!!
gTkY: this weekend is super busy: we have our tax prep appt. then have to go get the registration on my car. Change my drivers license address. Continue to unpack. And then church.
-physically status quo. Still sick all the time. But no worse for wear. Belly is really starting to bump! Emotionally, not a wreck! Haha
-nothing new. Appt with OB on Tuesday and back to MFM on the 18th. Hoping to find out gender then! I'm ready to start getting things ready, so I'm hoping for cooperative babies that day.
-rants: nothing really Raves: I actually look pregnant and not just bloated or pudgy. I'm really happy about this! DH has been REALLY helpful this last week so I'm hoping that holds up...at least being a little more helpful than usual
-my FIL has his 60th birthday this weekend so we will be traveling to spend the weekend with them. Luckily it's not too far, so we should be able to make it without a hundred bathroom stops lol
I am 16+1 and I feel pretty amazing. I'm stressed about our mortgage loan being in underwriting because I charged $1,200 on my American Express card Sunday for a refrigerator. We paid it off Wednesday Night, and am just worried that loan officers may have rechecked our credit before the balance was 0. Its probably not a biggie, but would devastate us if we don't get this house. Sorry, for being off topic, just don't want twins in a crappy 1-bedroom apartment. My next appointment/anatomy scan is February 25. We had an appointment on Tuesday and had a nice 20 minute ultrasound and saw that baby on the left is a sweet girl. Baby on the right was hugging and riding umbilical cord, so no idea there. Their heads are both down and they disturb each other's peace in the cutest way! I'm craving Subway tuna, sushi, chick-fil-a, pizza, medium-rare steak, and pretty much everything sounds good (except the thought of Chipotle makes me want to hurl!) This weekend we are farting around town and hanging out at home.
@kaschroeder2 : fx you find out the gender! And I look really pregnant too!! And I hope your DH keeps up on helping you out! I know it's always a blessing when they pitch in!
@crason : FX for your new house!! I wouldn't stress about the purchase but it does come up request to check it again and explain. They are normally very understanding: I would love to buy a house but we live in SoCal which is not a real option for us here. And during my gender determination baby B had the cord between its legs I just got up jumped around a little and it moved
1. 16 weeks ... Originally my due date was July 17th, but OB changed it to July 11th last week and wednesday MFM says they are back at July 17th are sticking to that. What gives? Lol
2. Emotionally- great knowing my dad is recovering from his quadruple bypass well and will most likely be able to meet his Grandkids. Physically- bad! Lol MS sucks and have recently gotten an upper respiratory infection which is making it hard to breathe!
3. Next appointment with OB is the 16th and I have my glucose test this Wednesday. Last week I had my OB appointment and we are pretty sure Baby A is a boy, Baby B did not want to show. This week's MFM confirmed Baby A and we are still not sure but Baby B looks like a girl! Having to wait another 2 weeks sucks. Baby B also turned her(him?)self all the way around which amazes me. I can't feel anything yet.
4. Rants- still not showing! & it's getting pretty hard to sleep Raves- loving the glow!
2. Emotionally- I'm kind of stressed/frustrated. We have a lot of things that need to be done in the house before these babies come & haven't had time to do any of it & most of it I can't physically do, so that is frustrating. We are also waiting to see what will happen with my husband's work situation. We both belong to the same union, which my uncle is head of, and when I got pregnant my uncle insisted he would find my H a job w/higher pay, better hours & closer to home (current commute 1hr 20 mins each way) but so far freaking NOTHING. We want this new job to come through so the H will be there long enough to accure time off for the birth but time is ticking away. When I approach my uncle about it he just says it will all work out but me & H are going crazy lol. It's just hard not knowing and not being able to make plans. Ok, self-pitying rant over!
Physically: Pretty good, just got over a cold so I'm tired but no more MS (there is a light @ the end of the tunnel ladies!!). I thought pregnancy brain was a myth but I swear my brain stops working & I find I forget crap and have trouble concentrating & putting the simpelest things together in my head.
Appt: Next one is 2/19 for the hour long scan & I'm excited. Our last one was 1/20 (or 21--pregnancy brain) and we found out the sexes & that they are healthy little boys!
Rant-see above under "emotional" Raves- Babies are healthy so that kind of makes all the other "worries" seem stupid when I really think about how lucky we are
GTKY: This weekend H is working and I'll probably clean the house a bit but mostly lay around and read my new fav book "What To Do When You're Having Two" I just got it after reading a post where someone else said they were reading it & I'm already on chapter 2! Lol--everything but time seems like it is in slow motion for me haha
@nashely : glad your dad is doing well after his quadruple bypass! My dad had the same thing 4 years ago. I know how much a relief it is when they are ok and doing well after and FX you find out the sex of baby B soon.
@bnk2012 : FX for your DH job!!! And I need to get this book all you twins mom are talking about!
2. Physically- I'm doing pretty well. Tired and some days sore in the abdomen but I think it's growing pains. I've started to finally look a little pregnant and not just pudgy. So that's nice! Emotionally- I'm stressed about financially affording these babies. I'm self employed and so is my husband. Any time I take off is unpaid but there is still overhead to cover. I know the Good Lord doesn't give you more than you can handle but I think this will really be a test. Other than that I'm just emotional with every tv show!! I'll cry at anything haha
3. My next appt is Friday, 2/6. Nothing about my appts so far have been different than with our daughter. I am sure that will change after 20 weeks tho. I'm always anxious to check in and hear those heartbeats. Also, I don't think we are finding out the gender - are we crazy?
4. Rants - I probably out that in my emotional. Other thing is I'm tired if being treated like I'm handicapped. I know we are all in a delicate situation with these twin babies, but I'm still capable of doing a lot! Raves - I think I have felt each baby move now! I thought I felt baby in the left last week and I'm pretty sure I felt baby on the right this week. It's just been quick movements so I'm not certain yet, but still exciting!
GTKY- no plans for the weekend. We have cancelled all plans because we are supposed to get hit with a pretty good snow storm starting later today. So it's grocery shopping this morning and then hanging out at home the rest of the weekend.
2. How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Feeling more of an emotional roller coaster this week. Totally annoyed by inconsequential things.
3. Any up coming appointments? How was your last appt? Our US appt last week was so much better than our first--the tech we had was lovely, while the one last time presses on my belly SO hard, and I had bleeding after.
4. Rants or raves? I'm hungry all the time, but for some reason nothing sounds good to me! Ugh.
GTKY: what are your plans for the weekend? Rest and relax! Had a busy week at work, so I just want to lay around with my feet up In between chasing my 2 year old around, that is...
@RS350028 : I can agree everyone treating us like we are handicap. I think we know our limits and i could not go team green and not find out the babies sex. I'm not in a rush like my DH but I still want to know to plan. Best of luck with your snow storm!
@sarums4 : sorry to hear about the awful tech who made you bleed. I had one press so hard it caused me 4 contractions ( Braxton hicks) and I wish I was hungry. and enjoy relaxing!!
Emotionally I'm good my hubby is suppose to start his new job tomorrow but we have a snow day . Physically I'm still getting a little nauseous.
I had an appointment on Wednesday. I swear they took as much fluid from me that they could lol urine and blood. I saw my babies. They were good moving around and looking happy. I have my next appointment on feb 13 with my doctor and a specialist on February 23. So I will find out the sexes then .
No real rants or raves. I'm just tired a lot of the time and want to sleep in every morning. But that's never possible due to my 10.5 month old.
It was my bday on Saturday so I hung out with my daughter and sister. And had a cookie with the family. Nothing big but still a good day.
1. How far along are you? 18 weeks 2. How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Physically in pain. Tmi here but I'm really constipated & it is causing pains! Emotionally I'm good. Been a bit emotional but that happens with pregnancy lol. 3. Any up coming appointments? How was your last appt? We find out what we're having in the morning & I can't wait! 4. Rants or raves? Rants just wish I would poop already! Lol raves I can't wait til in the morning to see my babies, make sure they are healthy & find out genders! GTKY: what are your plans for the weekend? We went vehicle shopping but nothing so far. Maybe we'll have better luck soon. I love reading everyone's posts!
How are you feeling physically and emotionally: Physically, minor cramping in my abdomen and really tired. Emotionally, a little unecessary crying here and there but other than that nothing crazy.
Any upcoming appointments: Yes! We will find out the gender of baby A on Feb 11th, and then Feb 12th we have our regular appointment with our Doc. YAY!!!
Rants or Raves: Rants- not in the mood for anyone!!!! Raves - the bigger my bump gets the more excited I am. I feel like I just want to meet my little monsters already!!!!!
Weekend is over....but it was nice and relaxing. Spent lots of time with family and ate, ate and ate some more!!!!
Loving reading all the fellow twin mommas posts!!!!!! ♡♡♡
@steen9713 will do I can't wait to find out so I can start planning. We don't even start looking at names until we know. It's a big ordeal in our house. I work for the schools and my hubby likes unique names. :-/ it's going to impossible to find twin names we both like. Anyone else feel this way??? Haha the joys of twins. I absolutely love it though.
1. 18 weeks 1 day
2. Emotionally- I'm kind of stressed/frustrated. We have a lot of things that need to be done in the house before these babies come & haven't had time to do any of it & most of it I can't physically do, so that is frustrating. I just returned my copy of the book at the library! LOVED IT!!!!!! I am going to rent it again in April for H to read. You will really enjoy it!

DH: 31 normal
Me: 31 tubal disease
Married 2011
TTC 2012
Clomid x 2 with OBGYN: BFN
IF testing 2013: blocked left tube, low AMH
March 2014: Ectopic rupture, emergency surgery and D&C. Absent left tube and now closed right tube
October 2014: IVF with ICSI #1 - BFP (17r/14icsi/12f - 2ET 10/27; 7 frosties; Nov7 beta #1= 806; Nov10 beta #2= 2738; TWINS!!!!! EDD late June/early July 2015)
2. How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Physically still tired but my breathing and asthma has improved. Emotionally I feel all over the place. Lately, I have been feeling pretty neglected by my mother. Usually, she is very overbearing and involved in my life. She is currently in Florida for the winter so I would have thought she would be calling or texting every few days to see how I am, how are the "monkies", any upcoming doctor appts, registry talk, etc. But nothing! My H's best friend's wife is also pregnant and due early June. She tells me that her mom (within an hour drive) is really involved and that they just went crib and furnature shopping. I guess I am just jealous. We also got a huge storm in Chicago so I was house bound all weekend and yesterday which made me blue.
3. Any up coming appointments? How was your last appt? I have my first cervical check yesterday with the MFM. Everything is looking good and we found out the gender of baby A. Baby B was being modest and didn't want to open his/her legs. I have my OB appointment next week then another cervical check in 2 weeks.
For the 20 week anatomy scan, my MFM doc told me it would be 2 hours since it is really in depth with twins. Anyone else told this?
4. Rants or raves? H does snow removal so he has been extra crabby these past few days. He gets all worked up before a big snow, then is MIA during the snow, then super crabby after the snow even so we have been at each other's throats this past week. I am surpised at how being pregnant has changed my personallity. Usually, I am very Type A, planning everything, OCD with moderate anxiety. I have had a few people tell me that I have become more "with the flow and relaxed". I guess this is a good thing.
GTKY: what are your plans for the weekend? This past weekend I was snowed in. This coming weekend we are visiting the IL's (if there is no snow)
So there used to be a discussion post about obnoxious things people say to MoM. I wanted to share my facebook post with everyone since I have already gotten some pretty ridiculous comments:
Pregnancy rant: I watched a life time movie called "The Pregnancy Project" that sheds light to the stereotypes of teen pregnancy. However, I think these can be applied to all pregnant women, regardless of age. Why are some people so insensitive and turn pregnancy into a negative. Since announcing our pregnancy, here are some comments I have received (and my responses). Not directed at anyone in specific, but think before you speak!
- Double trouble! - why trouble, why nott fun! - You can't go back to work now - why not - Looks like your running is over - really, just ignorant - So... are they "natural" - no they are aliens but thanks for getting up in my sex life - you are too short to carry twins - I didn't know there was a height requirement - You will never be able to breastfeed- I have two right, I think it will work out fine - Your marriage will never be the same - I hope not! I have the most loving and supportive husband, I can only imagine how wonderful he will be when our babies arrive!

@steen9713 we found out they are identical girls! They have different sacs but share a placenta. We were hoping for at least 1 boy but all will be great with 2 more girls! Dr gave me some miralax ti help with my backed up problem lol.
@LAO12-I'm being such a dork with the book. I have little post it markers on certain chapters and I'm highlighting certain passages for H to read at his leisure lol. Nice comebacks to those comments--I've heard more than a few of them myself and usually just look @ the person talking like they are stupid and I walk away haha Good luck w/the snow--it stinks here in NY too!
