I wasn't going to take it out and just see what happens but them I thought why do I still have this? I took it out and feel so free lol I have 2 midwives and one said its fine to leave and the other said you need to take it out so I don't know.. Pretty much my comment is useless
I put in a pregnancy one last month (around 22weeks, I'm now 26+3) because it got tight and red, basically uncomfortable. I ordered mine online. It felt better right away when I switched. I definitely recommend getting one.
Honestly I'm still rocking mine at 23wks but I don't have much of a bump. I was going to order a maternity one but as I was trying to pick one out I remembered I'm 30yrs old and should probably just go ahead and give this up! Haha So I'll be removing it when the time comes :-)
I do. I got a maternity flexible ring off of amazon. I put it in about 6 weeks ago because the regular one felt funny.... but my belly button is starting to change and look different so IDK if I can keep it in.

I had one with my first pregnancy and ended up taking it out at around 30 weeks. The piercing hole itself ended up with a stretch mark forking off it like 2 horns... So that's fun. I didn't even realise you could get maternity ones. You shouldn't have to take it out unless it's no longer comfortable. There's no medical reason to do so except for if you have a csection. Then it's just while you're in the OR.
I took mine out. I didn't see the point of keeping it in. No one will see it while I'm pregnant. I will probably put it back in after. I've had it since I was 17, so I doubt it will close in a few months.
I've had mine since I was 16, I finally took it out a few weeks ago because it was getting tight, I doubt it will close after 13 years... I considered getting flexible bar to put in its place but figured a longer bar would snag on stuff.... It's kind of nice not having it with my belly sticking out so far and it's one less thing to worry about
I got a flexible one off amazon early on but it still got irritated and uncomfortable so I gave up on it and it took it out.. I figure if I can still get a ring in after baby then cool, if not, so be it. I've had it since I was 14 so maybe it's time for it to go anyway, ha!
I bought a flexible pregnancy ring online and put it in at about 22 weeks or so. I took it out last week (27 weeks) because I thought the pierced area was getting really thin and didn't want to risk the ring catching on something and ripping out. I was surprised this week to find that the top hole has already closed! In hindsight, I wish I had just run the ring through it daily to try and keep the piercing open.
I wanted to try to keep mine in and even ordered some maternity ones but.. The hole got stretch marks and it ended up getting really crooked so I just took it out. I'm really sad about it. I'm only twenty and I just got it at eighteen lol but I guess these are only the small sacrifices we will make.
I took mine out woth my first, and it was still open after I gave birth so I put it back in... I have long since taken it out again this.... maybe it'll stay open, maybe it won't...
Re: Belly Button Piercing
But now that my belly button is stretching and starting to poke out. The hole is not closing.
I've had it out for a few days. Normally, by now it would take a little while to wiggle it back through but, now it just slides in.
So I think I'll just keep out and poke it in every now and then.
