Re: Monday weekly check-in?
How old is LO: 6 months, 1 week
LO's height/weight: We'll know tomorrow after ped visit!
Sleep stories: generally 11-12 hours at night, 2 to 3 naps during the day, but today he skipped nap #2 and was full of energy, the little brat
Latest milestone: I think he'll be sitting completely unassisted within the next week. He can also stand with his hands up on our couch, and no one holding onto him
Something exciting about today: Our first Gymboree music class. He loved it
Something you're looking forward to this week: A friend's baby shower this Saturday should be fine, then I have the night alone with DH on a business trip, so I'm thinking bubble bath...
Anything you're struggling with: This is an odd one, but how to cook for DH.... He and I have different tastes, and by the time I cook for myself and puree food for DS, I have no energy left over to make a third meal, so he orders out a lot, but he resents it. I know I can't do it all, but I still feel guilty. Le sigh.
Any questions this week?: Nope
I'll play
How old is LO: 5 months 1 week
LO's height/weight: As of two weeks ago he was 25 1/4 inches and 14 lbs 5 ozs
Sleep stories: Hes been sleeping through the night a few times a week and when he does he get up its been once. Hes not a great napper he gets 2-3 half hour naps in.
Latest milestone: He is sitting up more and more so I am hoping hell be unassisted soon.
Something exciting about today: There was a snowstorm today so DH was home with us al day which DS loved.
Something you're looking forward to this week: Maybe getting out of the house. DS had laryngitis and its been cold and windy here so we've kept him inside so it would be nice if we could get out and about this week.
Anything you're struggling with: DH schedule has been all over the place he was working midshift but due to staffing he is back on a normal shift and may or may not go back on midshift. It has been throwing DS and I off our usual routines so hopefully his job will make up their minds either way on what shift hell be on permanently soon.
Any questions this week?: nope
LO's height/weight: he has to weigh like 16 pounds and is super long.
Sleep stories: well after getting the magic sleep suit he has gone from waking every hour-2 hours to sleeping in 4 hour chunks. I know I need to cut out a night feeding but I haven't yet.
Latest milestone:he is almost sitting up unassisted. And he started rice cereal this week.
Something exciting about today: I make noises by blowing air through my lips (kind of hard to explain through text) but my LO is trying to copy me and it's so cute!
Something you're looking forward to this week: just getting home from work each day and being with my LO
Anything you're struggling with: communication and making time for the hubby
Any questions this week?: my LO seems constipated from the rice cereal and I don't know if I should continue giving it to him or just moving on to something else.
How old is LO: 21 weeks
LO's height/weight: 14 lbs 14 oz, 25 3/4 inches
Sleep stories: started sleep training a week and a half ago and I'm so happy with the decision! DS usually falls asleep in less than 5 mins of crying and sometimes even manages to go down without crying at all! He has even put himself back to sleep after waking in the MOTN a few times!! We've only had two bizzaro times when I was sure he was sleepy, put him down and he screamed for half an hour
Latest milestone: DS started sitting unsupported last week
Something exciting about today: ummm, slept in till 7 am?? Woo hoo
Something you're looking forward to this week: going to work haha! I'm going in to see the culmination of a huge project I was working on before going on Mat leave.
Anything you're struggling with: DS has been EBF since early December which felt like a huge victory after 3 month of supplementing but he's been slipping steadily in the weight percentiles ever since. He seems happy and healthy and his Dr and my LC aren't concerned but it's hard to watch his growth rate slip after working so hard to put weight on him. I was told not to go back to formula but to start rice cereal if I want to supplement more. Problem is, DH and I really want to do BLW which means waiting till 6 months before offering food and possibly much longer before he actually figures eating out. It's what's keeping me up at night these days.
