Round Ligament Pain

I am suffering from round ligament pain right now and wondered if one of those support belts worked for anyone before I shell out the cash!

  • I get it often too. My OB says that once the baby and my uterus get bigger it will likely lessen as my uterus won't be able to move around and pull on the ligaments so much. I had is early with DS also and it got better the further along I got. I'm not planning on getting a belt except for maybe a postpartum one.

  • This is baby 3 so everything is hitting me earlier--just wonder if it stays around longer too. I don't think I had this until 3rd trimester with DS

  • I have been wondering the same thing! Is your pain constant? Mine lasts a few days and goes away. Putting a couple pillows under my knees helps but it even hurts to walk sometimes! Normal? If you do get the belt I will be curious to know how it works!
  • The pain seems to be better so I have decided to wait and see...it was intense for about a week and now I am feeling ok.

  • I have one for this pregnancy and used one by orders of a physical therapist in my pregnancy 16 years ago. It was amazing.
  • my pain is constant. Ligament pain and pelvic pressure... a lot of of it ( i'm only 23 weeks preg). This is my second pregnancy, I have a two year old. I was worried and went to the Dr. She told me all looks good with baby, but suggested a pregnancy belly band. That was one week ago and still need to get one. Oh and she told me it would get worse. I am not looking forward to that, I think I was 38 weeks preg with my first when all these symptoms started, but this time it is a lot earlier. I am being careful not to over do it. I avoid lifting my tottler as much as I can ( which sucks because I want to lift her up ) and take it easy on cleaning and physical work.
