We have a 2 year old cat. In the past, he has pooped on the bed when he is mad at us (visitors stay overnight or if we lock him out of bedroom at night), but in the past week he has been peeing on/spraying things. I'm so mad! Could it be bc of my pregnancy? He's also laying on my stomach a lot lately. We keep his litter box clean, and he is neutered too. Anyone deal with this ever?

Re: Cats.
When my cat was peeing everywhere it turned out to be a UTI. The vet gave him meds and injected a water pouch into his shoulder area. We changed his diet from all dry food to half dry, half wet. When he was recovering and still stressed, we kept him in the bathroom with everything he needed and misted Feliway.
But I would take your kitty to the vet first to rule out a serious health issue.
- Use "Feliway" hormone spray or diffuser (there are also collars available.)
- Give a treat when he does use the box.
- If he is going in a particular area, make it unpleasant for him (such as getting a plastic runner from Home Depot and turning it upsidedown so the little spikes make him not want to walk there.)
- If caught in the act, reprimand (spray, clapping, loud noise, etc.)
That's all my pregnancy brain can think of right now.
Good luck.
