  I would get a pair of robeez. They are the best for their feet for walking and provide a little more protection than just socks.

  I won't put "shoes" on her until she's walking wherever we'll be. Until then, it's Melton booties-way better than Robeez, IMO.

  My pedi said no shoes while they are learning to walk. She said she wants them to be able to feel the floor while learning to walk. I got DD a pair of Robeez for when going out and about.

  If you SAH, it really depends on your lifestyle and when your LO starts insisting on getting down as to when you'll *need* shoes. Otherwise, keep them barefoot around the house, while running errands, etc. I had to get shoes because we're at the park a lot with my older kids and once she started pulling up she wanted to get down and cruise along the picnic tables. We have a pair of Robeez

  We will probably just wear socks as he gets better at walking. I bought a few pairs of SKIDers socks for slicker surfaces like the daycare floor.
