Nursing too much

Hi ladies! I'm sure this has been asked in the past (I'm on bump mobile) so I hope you don't mind me asking. Can I nurse my 7 week old too much? She nurses what seems like all day. She's attached to me big time lately. Don't get me wrong she's not huge but I just noticed her looking a lot bigger all the sudden. I nursed my son for 13.5 months and I can't remember him gaining this fast. I feel like everytime she fusses I fix it by putting my boob in her mouth. I'm going to try to slow down on that. She is spitting up so I think she's over feeding. I'll be calling the pediatrician Monday but until then I'm curious, can I feed her too much? TIA

Re: Nursing too much

  • @erinkaym‌ I should clarify. She doesn't usually spit up but when she feeds heavy sometimes she spits up what I would consider "normal". Just before I wrote this she spit up what looked like a full feeding. She did that a couple times a couple weeks ago. I never thought about the two being different but I see what you mean.

And thank you for relieving me of worry from feeding her too much.

  • No way to overfeed a BF baby!  Even my pediatricians have said that on several occasions.
