what's your best pregnancy moisturizer?

To me.. extra virgin olive oil is the best!
I use it on my belly, back, thighs, butt and on my breast..almost everywhere on my body hahaha to avoid stretching marks.. My skin looks shiny and so soft :x really loved it/ no stretch marks until now. I only use it twice. Everyday in the morning after the shower and before going to bed.. it's organic and not harmful for the baby. I apply it using cotton.
I started applying it on my face before sleeping and after morning shower also .. my face skin is much better now! I decided to start using it also on my hair twice a week..♡♡

What about you?
What oils do you use?

  • Aquaphor is my buddy right now.

  • I'm using Basq resilient body oil. I swore by it my last pregnancy and it's great this pregnancy too! :)
  • Bio oil No Stretch Marks yet
  • I use coconut oil. You buy it in the cooking oil aisle of the grocery store. It's great...I've never been an oil fan because it's too messy to me but what us great about coconut oil is its texture is like Crisco until you get it in your hand and rub together it melts. It's great for your skin. Midwife recommended it to me.
  • Oh and I have no stretch marks yet. 23 weeks 6 days and I'm pretty big for gestation to me
  • Mum&Me I use. I've read that no amount of moisturiser will stop you getting stretch marks as it's down to genetics.

I moisturise twice daily and my Mum and Nan both got them, so we will see!
  • Scrubing your skin atleast twice a week is important too ( soft scrubbing! ). To get rid of dead skin and moisterizing atleast twice a day! Do this and hope you dont get any stretch marks.
  • Daily: Vanilla Oatmeal by Johnsons it's always been my favorite
Weekly: depending on my mood: Coco Butter or Coconut Oil
  • Well I got a bunch of different ones for Christmas presents so I'm using this body butter one called GAIA in the morning it smells really good then at night I use bio oil. I don't have any stretch marks yet at 24 weeks 5 days but in all honesty I have a pretty little belly for a pregnant person. I also should add I put it on after showering.
  • Coco butter and coconut oil. Used it my whole last pregnancy and didn't get stretch marks, so hoping the same for this one.
  • I alternate between Palmer's cocoa butter lotion for stretch marks and coconut oil. I love the smell of both! H says I smell like cookies. ;) Still don't have any stretch marks on my boobs or abdomen so that's a plus.
  • I've been using Burts Bees Mama Bee and Palmers Tummy Butter.. So far no stretch marks. I'm 26 weeks 4 days.
  • I was using berts bees lemon and vitamin e oil after showers then was enlightened to the fact that too much vitamin e is not good during pregnancy. .. who knew? ?.... so now i just stick to bbees milk n honey (smells so freakin good ) and palmers cocoa butter. Also using st.ives oatmeal and Shea for all over. .. love the smell of that one too.
  • I don't think you can prevent stretch marks. It's all about skin type. But to help with itching I use coconut oil and an olive oil infused with lavender. Love that one.
  • Coconut oil no stretch marks yet at 26 weeks! Love the smell makes me want to eat almond joys all the time!
  • Earth Mama Angel Baby stretch oil is my favorite. Not too greasy or smelly.
  • I use Bio Oil. Used it in first pregnancy too 9yrs ago and don't have stretch marks. But I do agree that it's mostly down to genetics!
  • Just an FYI. Bio Oil has a petroleum base, which means you are slathering the same chemical used in gasoline all over your belly. Consider coconut or olive oil!!!!

  • My mom doesn't have any stretch marks. Have a sister that doesn't have any and another that has them so bad it looks like she's been attacked by a tiger. I'm covered below the belly button from my first pregnancy. So unfortunately if your mom doesn't have them, doesn't mean you won't. I do think lotions help a small amount. I think it also depends on if your steadily gaining weight or gaining in 'clusters'.
I'm currently using Vichy stretch mark prevention cream once a day. Still having morning sickness constantly so can't use anything to smelly. Very sensitive to smells.

  • I've been using Shea butter. It's not as easy to put on as moisturizer but works really well. Otherwise my belly gets really itchy. I also put it on my boobs in case it helps with the stretch marks. None yet but still a few months to go!
  • I'm prone to stretch marks, and already had them prior to pregnancy due to rapid weight gain, and then over 100lb weight loss. But using Palmers Motherhood cocoa butter lotion really helped with lightening my existing, and new stretch marks. I use 2 pumps of the lotion right after a shower, and my skin stays moisturized all day. When I shower, I have to lather up a little extra on my belly to get the lotion off. I sound like a commercial for the stuff... Just a satisfied consumer.
