TGIF spam

happy Friday! What's your spam?

Re: TGIF spam

  • My spam is that I seriously don't understand all these people that ask the same stupid questions over and over again. I think I'm gonna lose my mind. Up to this point I have been able to ignore them. But COME ON PEOPLE. Grow a freakin brain.

Also, my pelvic area hurts so bad it feels broken. It's felt like that since like week 25 but it's really getting old now. I'm really ready to be able to roll over in bed with out sounding like a broken record "ow ow ow ow" lol. I hope you all have a great Friday. I'm just glad it's Friday because that means I'm 39 weeks. Yay me. Also just curious how many of you are being seen weekly as opposed to biweekly? I don't see my doc until my due date 2/6 but the last time I saw her was when I was 37+4. Seems kinda long to me. I've had no major issues thus far so I'm not concerned about it. Just wondering if anyone else was kept at biweekly appts this late in the game?
  • Yeah i thought it was kinda weird too. I don't like my doctor but I like going to my appointments because they take all day long and that means I get to spend time with DH.

That stinks that she won't stop moving. I know what you mean about being annoyed that they're moving so much but then feeling bad about being annoyed!! I've been complaining so much lately about being pregnant that then I feel like a bad mom. I think it's totally normal to feel like this. I'm so over it too. And I'm really starting to feel a lot of resentment towards my sister since both her babies have come by 38 weeks. She acts like she knows what I'm talking about when I say I'm tired of being pregnant. But I seriously think those couple of weeks make a big difference. Don't get me wrong I want him to stay in there as long as he needs but for goodness sakes I want my body back.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one fed up with the repeat questions & pure idiocy that this page has become!

My spam is its 4am and LO just woke us up to an explosive diaper, poo all over him, all over us and all over the bed! This is the first time that's ever happened. Makes me want to rethink this Co sleeping arrangement lol
  • @Wimcgrath‌ my pregnancy hormones made me tear up a little when I read that they surprised you with a shower!! That's SO sweet.
  • @tlglass91‌ it was so sweet... I definitely teared up and I think the shock was very obvious! Also, I started weekly appointments at 35 weeks (would've started at 36, but the holidays messed with our appointment schedule), but I think every OB is different.

@Xoxolicia‌ you are very sweet! It was so great! Glad you're able to get back to sleep... Clearly my insomnia has just turned into "I guess I'll just stay awake" haha.

@lelly0086‌ the joys of (early) parenthood! That blowout sounds like my husband's worst nightmare, but he is also slightly OCD. Here's hoping it's not a common occurrence for you :)

Has anyone seen this? I like watching it when I'm bored because it seriously makes me crack up.

But for real, how does she have the energy for that?!

Edit: not sure the link worked.
  • Ah! That stinks it was a video called "break your water dance" haha. What season of Greys anatomy are you on? @maasybaby‌
  • Ditto to being over the repeated nonsense that gets posted on here.  I've run out of patience so I probably come across as flat out bitchy in my responses.  Actually, I probably come across that way because I am that way.

Ditto to the whole tired of being pregnant.  However, thanks to my car accident Tuesday, my insurance company has decided to total my car.  So Little Man needs to stay put until the husbandman and I are able to get my new car.  However, dealing with banks and bank loans and payouts from insurance companies probably won't be the fastest process in the world, so fingers crossed that by some miracle we can get this done within the next week.  I hate black ice.

  • Happy Friday! Ditto to the stupid questions,  I love the hilarious responses though. I can only imagine as the days go by what we will see.
    Welcome @Alyllyra !

  • @maasybaby‌ I was on season 9 I think when my favorite characters got killed off and I decided to boycott it!!! Yay I'm glad you found the video!! I seriously crack up Everytime I watch it haha.
  • @Alyllyra‌ welcome! My birthday is 2/26 so that's a good day :-)
  • Woke up feeling funny today, I can't explain why or in what way. I'm only 36+1 but I'm feeling like labor isn't very far off this morning!

Thinking of all you still pregnant ladies - I really feel for you. By 39 weeks I was so so so 'over it' !! The last few weeks stretch longer than all of months 5-7. You have my sympathies.

My spam is that is that while I am so grateful that the little man is here, I just really wish I could settle into a routine at home. We were released from the hospital yesterday morning and when I got back to my house I knew right away there was something not quite right with my 15-month-old. So I left the new baby and my older two w my husband and i drove my toddler over to the pediatrician at 3 in the afternoon yesterday ... And was basically told to go straight to the ER for iv fluids and observation/testing. I knew she'd been throwing up on and off for my mom while I was in the hospital, but I guess she took a rapid step downhill yesterday and was lethargic and extremely dehydrated. So I brought her home from the dr and packed her bag and sent her to the children's ER (literally in the same hospital where I had just been discharged hours earlier) with my husband since I needed to be home w our brandnew little one. I was an emotional mess, trying to hold it together for my two older kiddos but ridiculously worried about my toddler, and trying to care for myself and our newborn, and of course my mom had left before the pediatrician's appointment since really none of us realized how bad things were w my dd and so she was all the way back in Maryland (we live in nj) by the time we were going to the ER.

Im thanking God and my lucky stars that my daughter was able to avoid having IV fluids (she would have fought that like crazy) and when the ER doc gave her meds for the nausea she was able to keep some Pedialyte down and had a wet diaper so they did let her come home last night & this morning she seems to be completely fine - eating eggs and chugging pedialyte. I'm still so shaken up and off-kilter though. just really hope the next few days are smooth and no one else gets sick - especially my 3 day old baby!

Ok enough is enough - going to try to nap while the baby sleeps, and hoping everyone has an awesome Friday!!

    Edit; tense/words
  • @tlglass91‌: my regular OB set us up for appt at 38w4 and 40w4d but then another OB rec we come in this week too but I declined. Just didn't feel like going in for another routine check for a low risk pregnancy. She said fine but call if I have any problems.

@Wimcgrath‌: what a sweet surprise! My first day of maternity leave was 1/21 and my job offered to throw a baby shower 2/4. However, My due date is 2/1 and work is a 45-75 min drive depending on traffic. Whomp, whomp! Of course I could still be pregnant but I don't know how I'm going to feel at that point. I suggested a sip and see after the bean gets here.

my spam is that hubby and I are going to try preggo pizza this afternoon and more walking. There is a party tonight but I am still on the fence about going. FTM so this maybe the last hurrah for a while. On the other hand I am huge and tired and grumpy about having the same conversation all night. Aaand I think I look funny when I dance. So there is that.

IMy spam for the day- I just noticed my underwear are inside out. Oh well! Not worth bending over to fix in my opinion. I knew this day would come... Happy Friday, ladies!
Haha, I totally know this feeling! Not worth it!

Ah, thank you guys for the welcome, I'm blushing :)

@Dannylion24 I'm so sorry to hear about you LO. That must have been exhausting for you and your whole family. Hope your weekend gets better and you can get som rest and enjoy your new addition!
  • @wittyacronym I'm officially intrigued.  What is preggo pizza?

    *Sorry for using you as my personal Google (;

  • I swear my screaming two year old is going to send me in to labor all on his own. Who needs Pitocin when you have this?
  • @Dannylion24‌ sorry you are dealing with that! I hope your LO gets better real soon and you get some type of relaxation time.

@wittyacronym‌ I'm intrigued with the Prego pizza also!!! I walked for about an hour today and I am more tired than I've been this whole pregnancy!

@toamberroy‌ yes sometimes I feel like it may just fall off. Or the baby may fall out when I'm least expecting it. I'm prepared to do a squat and catch!
  • Preggo pizza is this urban legend here in the Bay Area. https://www.skipolinispizza.com/prego.php

maybe it will work, maybe not but worth a try. A nurse at my job swore by it for her two pregnancies. I will update you all if it works.

  • Hey all

I finally know what lightening crotch is!! It's not pleasant!
Stressing because we still haven't painted the nursery but the builders have finished with it now so should start painting tomorrow !
Worried the smell of paint will still be wafting in the air once baby is here..

@toamberroy‌ wearing underwear inside out means you are going to get a present soon!!! My hubby thinks I do it deliberately now because I want presents heheh
I guess our bubs will be the best presents ever!

  • I really need to get on my laptop and change my display name lol
    <Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker>
  • I've been ugly crying today. I just got really sad out of nowhere and I want this baby out! I'll be pregnant forever. :((
  • @tlglass91‌ @Alyllyra‌ @Wimcgrath‌ - thanks so much for the well wishes :) today turned out to be a much better day!
  • @wittyacronym‌, I'm by a Preggo pizza location too! I had forgotten about this, but am near Rocklin. I think we will be trying it out in a couple of weeks! (38 weeks now with one more week of work left) thanks for the reminder! Mostly, I just love pizza so any excuse to get some is good enough for me.

Spam: mobile bumping is so difficult. Am I the only one that has to refresh every time I get back to the message board!?! And!!! Why does my cursor keep jumping while typing this post!?!

I guess you can add me to the tired and grouchy list too! At this point, who isn't?
