With less than 3 weeks to go I'm having second thoughts on our chosen name: Penelope June. (June to honor DHs grandma) I saw a newborn on a Facebook group named Juniper and couldn't help but feel a bit of name envy.. Juniper has always been a top condender on my name lists along with Penelope.. And now I feel really conflicted. I almost feel like Penelope is too common and with this being our third and last I do feel a little more gutsy in going with a more unique name... Maybe it's just that I've gotten used to Penelope and it's just lost its spark a little? Do you think Penelope is getting to be too trendy, common? Is Juniper too out there?? Any thoughts/ opinions appreciated!
Love Penelope! So much more than Juniper, which comes off very hippie-ish to me. If you're looking for something different I also like Calliope (ca-LIE-oh-pee). I don't think Penelope is getting more popular (though I could be wrong), but I've certainly never met a Calliope.
Juniper is cute. And different. Penelope is becoming very common in my area and among friends across the country (I have 3 long distance friends with Penelopes)
Penelope is getting popular. I have an 18 month old penelope (and I LOVE her name) but since then it seems like everyone is picking penelope. Not that I blame them :P
Re: Juniper or Penelope?
Penelope looks great but sounds odd to me.
