We're having a hard time coming up with a girl name to go with brother Sven. Looking for something foreign but still able to be pronounced by looking at it. I love the idea of staying with Scandinavian names, but tradition girl names like Ingrid are just too harsh for my taste. Help?
Lena, Elsa, Linnea, and Malin are all a little softer, and pretty easy to pronounce.
And I wouldn't worry about Disney connotations with Elsa - that's my youngest daughter's name and I get almost no "OMG like Frozen!" comments anymore. Pop culture has a really short memory.
I've thought about Malin myself but wondered if it was easy enough for people to pronounce. How would you all say it? I know it's supposed to be Mal-Lynn but I always want to say May-Lynn. Maybe that's just me though. I also like Novalie and we had an exchange student from Denmark named Malou which I think is very pretty.

Elsa and Sven together I would definitely think of Frozen. I give another vote for Greta or Lena.
