I had my first ultrasound.. 9 weeks 3 days.  There was no heartbeat.  Dr. sent me to hospital and they too confirmed no heartbeat.
I am really in denial.  I have all the symptoms soon. I can't accept it was a missed miscarriage.  Said measuring at 8 weeks and I should be 9.
Opted not to get d&c yet.  Still some hope, maybe? I know not.  Thanks you for listening.

Best of luck.
I had a natural miscarriage years later. It was also a missed miscarriage. I was so scared I would hemorrhage again. The cramps were intense like the other time and just when the bleeding started getting really bad I started passing massive massive clots..but that was everything coming out and once that was done things got so much better. I can't say it was any less scary than a D&C. The bleeding really got pretty scary and the pain was intense. When the clots came out it just started falling out all over the bathroom floor etc. I had to clean everything up.
If I had to do it again I am not sure which way I would want to pick.
I had my third D and C a week and a half ago. By the third one I wasn't nervous anymore, I just wanted everything over with so I could grieve. My best advice is, if you have to take the pain meds make sure you watch your diet very closely so you can go to the bathroom. If you don't the constipation can be the absolute worst part of recovery.
I will be thinking of you and wishing you well. Let yourself take the time you need to grieve so you can figure out where your path leads next. Big hugs.
