Yellow/Lighy brown disharge

For the past 2 weeks or so I have been experiencing yellow mixed with a bit of brown discharge. The last time I had a doctor's appointment I had asked her about yellow discharge & she had said that it was totally fine....since last night I started experiencing what seems like pains or soreness of my right ovarie & it looks like I might still have it right now. I just need someone to talk to about this, help keep my mind at ease!

Re: Yellow/Lighy brown disharge

  • Lol, I did. & I'm waiting for her call, I should hear from her today or tomorrow morning. But for the mean time just wanted to get peoples advice!

  • Anytime it's brown usually indicates old blood. As long as you're not bleeding red and cramping I say don't panic. Kick up your feet and drink water while you wait for your doctors call.

  • Thank you Kim, this is my first time going through all of this. So I'm not sure on what's normal & what isn't, & with Google all it does is freak me out....I should be seeing my doctor in like 6 days for my schedule appointment. Thank you once again for your advice :D!
  • I know we're all big on google, but sometimes it's just not your friend.

Try to relax and wait to see what the Dr. says.

    Thank you.
  • Actually if she has called her Dr then this is exactly the place to look for comfort?!?! There are questions that we take seriously and answer kindly. She obviously has taken upon herself to call her Dr and is not asking a ridiculous question! I'm not sure some of us are understanding "snark" or when it should be used. When a MTB is scared or worried we usually show!!!

I hope it's nothing. Seeing blood or signs that you've been bleeding can be scary.
  • Agreeing with PP.

  • Just wanted to agree with the advice of all the PPs and let you know that I experience yellow discharge quite often as well. Weird stuff going on down there that can be scary for FTMs, but my OB reassured me that if there's no infection it's all normal.
Also worth mentioning, if you've had sex lately the old blood can be from that.
Relax, drink and try to stay positive!

  • Agreeing with PP! My OB said I may even see a little after my last ultra sound since they had to do part of it internally to check my cervix. I hope it's nothing and there's no need to worry. Keep us posted'

@devyns2nd You're so right, this community is really great at giving support where it's needed! And obviously in this case there's a MTB that needs some reassurance. It might not have been clear who you were talking to in this post? Could you quote or tag them so they know what they said was uncalled for?

  • Obiviously it wasn't you! I was actually referring to you when I was talking about her getting kind and helpful answers. I figured there was no need for me to tag anyone since only one person was rude. Not to mention I didn't want to seem hateful by tagging her.

I also have very slow internet considering I live too far out to even get cable. So my phone doesn't like tagging or quoting.
  • I just don't see where anyone was rude. In her OP she did not state that she called her doctor. Pain associated with discharge qualifies for a call your doc response. She immediately clarified that she did in fact call and was looking for comfort, which she got. Then you came along and acted rude. Post hijack officially over now.
@soniavilltoro09‌ , update us on what your doctor says.

  • Actually no I wasn't rude!! I'm never rude on here. I clearly was not attacking you. So I'm not sure why you are attacking me?!?! I'm also pretty sure I'm an adult and can choose when "hijacking" on my part at least will be done. I wasn't intending to cause any problems with you or anyone else and I apologize if I offended you in any way. I'm just not sure how I did. I was only concerned that OP would start getting hateful responses when she didn't deserve that because trolls post bull shit and some people get the idea that every question should be flammed and that's not right. Saying call your Dr isn't rude but the way it was said was rude and unnecessary here.
  • And again I wasn't looking to offend anyone!!

Your post seemed like it was intended for someone that was currently being rude/snarky to the OP.
  • Telling op to not ask internet strangers for comfort wasn't rude or snarky? Don't get me wrong some people need to hear that. In fact this was the place to be comforted by internet strangers because that's what we do.

I'll explain it again. Discharge associated with pain warrants a phone call to the doctor. Not comfort from Internet strangers. OP immediately established that she did, in fact, call doctor. So we than gave our opinions and offered her some comfort.

Perhaps you were not looking to offend anyone but you kind of jumped in prematurely looking to point fingers and call people mean.

I agree with dedebush02 response going off the notion that the OP did not call the doctor.
    Do you understand?

  • I didn't call anyone mean! So I'll explain again...Telling her this isn't the place to look for comfort wasn't NECESSARY! Replying with I think you should call the Dr would be fine. I'm not an idiot I know people come here calling everyone meanies and you have been here a while and probably thought that I was doing that. So what I said was needed because some people are New and getting the impression that we jump on everyone for asking questions.
  • I think @devyns2nd‌ makes a good point.
