This is my first baby... My husband and I just got married in August and I found out I am pregnant a few weeks ago.... I have my first sono apt Feb 2nd and at that point I will be 8.5weeks.....i am dying to tell my family and friends but I keep hearing so many different things some say 8weeks... Some say 10,12 or 16weeks!?!?!.... When did u lady's share the great news?

I told my best friend, my principal and my team at work at 4 weeks.

We're telling our families this weekend at 5w5d.

My first US is at 8 weeks. We'll probably start telling our close friends then and then tell everyone else at 12 weeks.

I'm around 4-5 weeks. We are telling parents and siblings now. I'll tell grandmother and best friends when there is a heartbeat (I don't want to get my grandmother excited until I am out of those first few weeks, she has had a rough year and I won't tell her if this doesn't stick). Not sure when I'll tell work and such, when I have to I suppose!

We're waiting until we're out of the first trimester. Tell whenever you feel most comfortable & as hard as it is, think about the possibility of "un-telling."

I had to tell a small pool of people at my work at 5 weeks due to the nature of my job and the limitations that come with pregnancy (I'm a vet tech so I can't take xrays or clean litter boxes now). Otherwise we waited until we heard the heartbeat at 6 weeks to tell family, and we will tell everyone else around 10 to 12 weeks.

We told our immediate family at 5 weeks and I've told 2 close friends....and my husband told everyone in his unit....guess excitement got the best of him. Waiting to put on facebook until about 12 weeks. Our thought process was we were excited and I don't like to keep secrets about exciting things. Tell when you feel ready!

We told his mom and brother at 6wks, she lives downstairs from us, so it just was easier that way. We're trying to wait until 12 weeks for everyone else, but it's been pretty difficult.

Well I called my mom screaming in excitement as soon as I got the positive. My best friend who is also my sil guessed and I couldn't lie. So then I had to tell my three brothers. I was 5 then. We are going to wait til about 8 weeks for anyone else.

Told everyone at 3 weeks (as soon as we got a bfp! Call me crazy but hubby and I've been working too hard to not shout it to the world! Hehe!

I'm 5w1d and my immediate family knows, and my daughter who's 5 and my stepson who's 7. I had to let my boss know yesterday because I'm exposed to chemicals at my job so my Dr advised I ask about limitations. I'm going to tell friends and everyone else after the first sonogram.

I told my sister and in laws the day we found out (6 weeks). Boyfriend told everyone at his work already (he's THE WORST at secrets, which is why my in laws know already, we literally drove over the night we found out). Waiting to tell my parents and the rest of my immediate family until next weekend for my mom's birthday! I wanted to wait until after my first appointment to tell them, but it's not until the 12th and everyone will be together for the birthday celebration!

I am currently 8w2d today

1. Told my 2 best friends as soon as i found out (shortly after I told my SO).

2. His mom called while we were waiting in the doctor'soffice for our first sonogram at 6w. We had a confirmed heartbeat. So he had to tell her.

3. Consequently i told my parents at 6w2d. I wanted to do it in person and some travel/planning was necessary.

4. My mom told her sister which is fine.

5. My SO has told one close friend and i have told 4 other close friends.

6. We both have FB but despise the impersonal nature of social media so no FB announcement will be made. We will tell our other friends/family after we find out the sex at 10 weeks.

7. I don't plan to tell work until i have to at 28 weeks. They may guess but other than that i don't have any intention to tell them.

Oh dear! Here's my rundown!

3.5 weeks - told my father and my best friend
5 weeks - told my husband's parents
6.5 weeks (heartbeat!) - told my husband's immediate family (siblings and spouses) and my two aunts.
8 weeks (heartbeat!) - told some extended family and friends.
10 weeks (heartbeat!) - told some former coworkers
11 weeks - telling a few more close friends
13 weeks - dinner with my lady group to tell them
13.5 weeks - co-worker and FB reveals!

I'm 5w4d and I've only told a close friend/coworker who will understand if things don't go well. We're waiting to tell everyone else until 12 weeks although I kind of want to tell family after the first US at 8w

I have only told 2 of my friends. My husband has told his captain at work but we are waiting to tell family and anyone else until we hear the heartbeat on Feb 9th. Then we will tell family and probably hold off for Facebook until 11/12 weeks.

We told our entire family and closest friends when I was just shy of 5 weeks when they were all over for our sons birthday party. Facebook will wait until we see the heartbeat and make sure everything is progressing well. All the important people know and I'm so glad that I have them there to talk to!
