Re: Free Samples

  • I was going to do the car seat canopy one but then it wanted to charge me nearly $18.00 to ship it, I just can't see how it could cost $18.00 to ship a fabric item that would weigh less than a pound. Unless this is a different deal than the one I had? I got my code from Motherhood Maternity

I believe mine was $15.99 to ship, but I didn't just get the canopy, it came with all the matching material for the actual car seat too... I priced them and couldn't find them for less than $30, so I got the grey chevron one and had it personalized for $5, it's great.
  • Neither the Bounty nor the Dreft options worked for me. Bounty is only good if you live in UK. Others were great! Thanks!

I've gotten free samples from Enfamil from joining them and also when I registered with Motherhood Maternity and Buy Buy Baby. Got large welcome packs with tons of freebies and coupons from both!
  • I did the car seat canopy, the nursing pillow, and the baby sling from seven slings.

When I was pricing them out, the car seat canopy was a good deal to me because like the PP i couldn't find anything else for under $30 so I actually purchased two car seat canopys: one blue and monogrammed and the other with a Saints football team design (NOLA mommy to be). With shipping for both the total was like $45. I thought it was worth it. Plus one is thin for summer and the other is thicker for winter/fall.

I got both my seven slings monogrammed. They are really cute and I like that they customize them to your frame so it fits snuggly. The nursing pillow I just purchased one and the design is really cute and goes with our nursery colors.
  • @crsanchez87 - I'd love more info on the slings. I didn't use one with my DS and I definitely want one this time around!

  • PutMeintheZoo I am still learning how to use them myself, there is a baby wearing meet up in my area so I am definitely go and learn more about it. I can post a pic of the slings and how they fit later this evening when I get home from work :)
  • I signed up on gerber.com and they sent me a can of powdered Good Start formula in the mail.
  • Oh god help me NO! Not more if these promotions that flood the pages of the other pregnancy forums. I came here to get away from them! Anyways...in my experience seven slings baby slings SUCK they are horrible! And you have to pay extra "size insurance" just to be able to exchange them if they don't fit plus pay an insane shipping and return charge. They are awful! The car seat canopy is cheap and the pattern is totally lop sided. So they say these things are "free" yeah free my ass, they charge an insane shipping charge for these China cheapie items. Do yourself a huge favor and save your money.
  • I think I only paid about $10 shipping 2 years ago for the "free" stuff. Imo, the car canopy was great quality. I used it for a full year. The sling didn't work for me but dd didn't take to any carriers. The nursing cover wasn't the best quality but I haven't seen others so I have nothing to compare it to. The nursing pillow is no where near the quality of a boppy, but I used it all the time. It is about 1/2 the size so it fit dd better when she was little (laying on it). It fit great between me and the chair side to fill the space or behind my back for support. I didn't necessarily use it for nursing but I still used it.
