Flying with baby-help!

First flight with my 9 month old LO on Friday. Just her and I. So scared! this baby won't sit still ever and she's on my lap for 2+ hours with a layover, surrounded by strangers! YIKES! Any ideas to keep her busy? Any lists you have that are helpful for packing? Goodness. All advice appreciated.

I have worn a teething necklace - keeps them occupied for a bit during take-off and landing when they have to face you (if they don't have their own seat, that is). And get an aisle seat so that you can get up for diaper changes without lugging a baby across other people.

We did 29 hours including latovers after Christmas. It was a nightmare.. But my best advice is, buy a new toy. Don't let her play with it before you fly. Bring her favorite toys. Bring some food. And load up with diapers.

Lots of snacks. I bought toys with suction cup bottoms to stick on the tray table so he wasn't constantly throwing them on the floor - it worked great!

thank you all! @hvmom2b- how was your LO ears? Did you give her the bottle during take off and landing? I heard that sometimes its helpful to nurse or give a bottle during those times.
