Strollers for older twins- ages 3-5?

I used the baby trend double snap and go for the first year.

For almost 2 years  now, I have used the baby jogger city mini and LOVE IT! I use this grocery shopping. Both kids sit in it and I push it while I pull a cart at the grocery store behind me. It steers so well, It is easy to use.

We do have nice single umbrella strollers for when we go on vacation. My husband works ~11 hours days Mon-Friday. I work 10 hour days on Tues/Thursday. So, Mon/Wed/Friday, I am often running errands with the kids.

I am really hoping to start losing the weight I gained during IVF this spring! I was thinking about getting a nice jogging stroller to use to walk/jog some upcoming 5/10K's.

Any suggestions on a good jogging stroller?

How long did you keep using your stroller? Occasionally, I will let my kids walk in with me...for library story time and for a really quick store errand. It is not fun to do!

Twin m/c @ 5.5 wks :( Dec/Jan 2011 IVF #2 Only 4 eggs retrieved-Ganirelix dose messed up BFFN Feb/March 2011 IVF #3 ER 3/9 9 eggs, 7 fertilized, ET 3/14, No frosties. BFN IVF #4 ER 8/22 9R,7F ET 8/25-3 embies, 1 frostie! Beta 9/2= 54, 9/6=274, 9/8=625, 9/12=2953, 9/16 greater than 10,000. B/G TWINS born April 2012 @ 36wks & 1 day! July 2014-going back for the frozen embryo! ET 7/28, heartbeat seen at 6wks1day with SCH. Miscarriage confirmed at 6wks4days

    I've been reading about the Baby Jogger Summit x3 double stroller vs the BOB Duallie. They are both outrageously expensive. I feel like we will use them for next 2 years for 5/10K's and zoo trips. Anyone with older twins that can chime in?

    Sorry, I don't have any advice- my boys stopped using the stroller around 3. I was kinda happy because there was no way I wanted to be pushing around 70 pounds of kids- no matter how fab the stroller was.  Plus the idea of going to the zoo, for me, is to wear them out.  My kids can seriously spend 5 hours at the zoo, arboretum, etc and do it all walking with very little breaks.

    Most strollers have a 100lbs weight limit, and that is *a lot* to push. My daughters are 7 and in 1st grade, and are about 100lbs combined and holycrap. I am a runner and there's no way I would push that. We were also done with strollers around 2.5/3 and I never bought a jogging stroller. I thought about it- but running became my quiet time. I looked at a BOB Dualie and one of the City Minis, and just decided to scratch it. If you'd get a LOT of use out of it- then the investment would be worth it. Is your current City Mini not a jogger? Would you consider selling it to off-set the cost of a newer jogger?

    My girls are 3 and we only use a stroller occasionally for walks outside. I have an old model of the Valco Twin Runabout. It is a very nice stroller, but too heavy to jog with comfortably.
