Same here. I'm just hoping for the best. I have had a previous mc but I know worrying won't prevent another. You should be fine! Are your oral or the other?
I had to take the injections with my last pregnancy because my levels were so low. This time around I'm taking the oral pill 3x a day at 100mg a pill. My Dr. Refers to progesterone as the "glue" that holds your pregnancy. It worked last time (after a loss without taking it) and I'm sure it will work this time. Try not to stress about it, the pill will help get your levels where they should be.
I'm on 200mg progesterone once a day. If your body isn't making enough progesterone there is a risk of miscarriage bc progesterone holds the lining of your uterus where the baby attaches. Progesterone supplements work very well to hold your lining. I've been on progesterone with every pregnancy bc I have luteal phase defect, which means my hormone levels aren't high enough after ovulation. Try not to worry. Progesterone is a widely used drug that I'm sure your dr has plenty of experience with. How far along are you?
I am on progesterone suppositories until week 12. They are so awesome (ugh). Messy but necessary to prevent a miscarriage. As others have stated, progesterone supports the uterine lining getting thicker and being maintained. The corpus luteum released progesterone to help with implantation and maintained the lining until the placenta takes over. Sometimes the corpus luteum disintegrates early and that causes a drop in progesterone (which signals a period or miscarriage). To make up for that, supplementing is necessary.
So I got my levels. Monday my progesterone was at 230!!!! Today it was at 590, so we are doing better. Still not what it should be for 6 weeks, but we are getting there! I should be able to see my peanut by next Friday
I think you're talking about hcg. @MadiRose95 your progesterone needs to be over 13 and usually tops out at the very highest 35-40. Hcg goes into hundreds then on to ten thousands, and should be doubling as the numbers you posted. I would call your OB back tomorrow and ask them to clarify for you so you have all the info good luck!

And as soon as she calls me back this afternoon with my 2nd results I'll post them.
My doctor didn't seem worried. She didn't use any alarming words. All she said was my levels were a little lower than they would like.
Thanks mommies!!!
