I'm the terrible one who voted undecided. My doctor didn't mention it at his 6 month appt and we're not going for a 9 month appt since it's optional and she saw him in December twice for other things. I never get the flu shot myself. Not sure if there's any point taking LO for one now since it will be spring in two months and he's not in daycare at the moment.
Already did. My dr didn't even give an option - just explained that some strains were not covered but some prevention was better than none. I got mine too and have every year for a while.
@Talltrees82 Flu season lasts through May. It is still worth it. Last year, 105 babies died from the flu.
And you should also get yours. If not for your own health, for everyone else's including LO. The more people that are vaccinated, the fewer people to spread the virus.
Our whole family got ours the day LO turned 6mos, booster 4 was later. DH and DS got the flu anyway. DD1 got a strain that caused her to have croup, but never got the high fever. LO and I just got a few days of snotty noses. Thank you breastfeeding!
LO has had both boosters. The rest of the family hasn't had it yet. I spent a few weeks convincing DH about it in December , he finally agreed and now I I haven't got my shit together for me and DD to get it. I really need to do that. I think I'm just anticipating the freak out from the 3 year old who knows the drill now!
Thanks for the little push ladies! I'll get on it.
